"Awwie, she's so cute. I want to just eat her." Mowgli said, playing with Zara's tiny fingers. Zara began to cry, hearing that.

"Acha baba sorry, nahi khaunga." He apologized. Avni smiled seeing them both. She hoped and believed strongly that it was finally a normal life.

"Neil!" Prakash called from downstairs. "I'll come." Neil muttered to Avni, and took Zara in his arms.

"Neil I'll also come. Haven't met the family for like ages." Avni said, trying to get up but failed miserably.

"No. Stay. You're not in the position to honey. I'll tell them to meet you. Okay?" He said, kissed her forehead and went with her.

"Mumma?" Mowgli spoke, lying down besides her, hugging her waist.

"Hm?" She replied.

"Will daddy forget me because of her?" He asked, fearing he might not get enough attention because of Zara being incredibly small and because of the circumstances she was born, when everyone thought she was dead.

Avni looked sideways at him, who was staring at the front wall. Avni held him by his arms, and made him sit on her lap.

"No. He won't ever do that. You both are equally important for us. And shall I tell you a secret?" Mumma asked, kissing his cheek. Mowgli looked at her cutely and nodded.
"Sons are mumma's favourite. Mere liye to hain. And girls are daddy's angels. So see, I love you. Dadda also does. It's just that he may be a...Bit protective for her. No need to feel insecure." She said hugging his tummy from the front.

"Shall I do one thing jo my Mumma did?" She asked, Mowgli again looked at her, confused. Avni tickled his tummy and he began laughing so hardly.

"Nanny was naughty" Mogli commented, after stopping.

"Wow, dad that's....so cute. Thank you. Thanks so much Papa." Neil said, admiring the cradle Prakash had bought for Zara. Out of all the ruckus, Neil forgot. But Prakash, remembered.

Zara waved her hands towards it, she wanted to be in as soon as possible. "Baby, wait, it's yours only." Neil said. With the help of labour, they placed it into their room. Bebe and Shweta placed very soft mattresses on it and prepared it nicely.

All this while Neil was playing with her, holding her firmly in his arms, and supported her little head with his hand, large for her. He snuggled into her face, before kissing her cheek. Zara began crying loudly due to this act of his. Neil rocked her gently trying to calm her but in vain.

"Neil kya hua?" Avni asked.
"Kya mumma! Papa ki beard dekhi hai? Nine months se shave bhi Kiya lagta hai. Zara would get scared na obviously." Mowgli spoke, rolling his eyes. He couldn't help being jealous. Neil paid no attention to him. Even he was held at gunpoint.

Neil's eyes widened. He was horrified. He placed Zara in Avni's hands and went to the washroom, to trim his beard.

When he came out, he saw the two most important angels of his life, Avni and Zara, sleeping peacefully. Avni was at a really uncomfortable position with Zara sleeping nicely.

He took her, made Avni lie completely, keeping his favourite pillow beneath her. He didn't mind a hard one as long as she was okay. (My dad does this.)

He laid down himself, Zara lying on his chest, with her small arms reaching barely till his neck. Her small legs spread and her tiny nostrils flaring with each breath she took. He placed his hand on her back, the other on her head, to keep her from rolling.

And being with his daughter like that, made him the happiest man on earth.
