Eye of the Beholder [Completed]

Chapter 31

       I'm so comfortable. I'm snuggling up to something that is very warm. My eyes shoot open. My head is on Samuel's chest. I look up at his face. He is still sleeping. Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I spent the night in Samuel's room in the SAME bed with him. I'm cuddling with him for crying out loud!

I scoot away from him. I lay flat on my back. I stare up at the ceiling. I sigh. Then, I look around his room and I notice something different. He doesn't have any pictures of him and Brittany in his room anymore. I wonder what he did with them? A part of me likes that he took the pictures of them down. Part of me likes that A LOT.

I grab my phone. It's 9 in the morning. I have ten missed calls from Brittany and two missed calls from my mom. Ugh. I groan and put my phone back up.

Samuel starts to move in his sleep. He sounds like he is having a bad dream. I can't even begin to imagine all the things that he has seen. Without thinking another thought, I lay back in the position that I woke up in. Samuel stops moving in his sleep. This brings a smile to my face. Maybe I make him feel better.

Samuel doesn't sleep for too much longer. When he wakes up he, automatically looks down at me. "You're still here." A smile, slowly, forms on his face. He still looks a little sleepy. "Yes. I am." I don't move.

"Did you get any more calls?" He asks. I sigh. "Yes. From my mom and from Brittany." I inform him. He shakes his head. "I really don't want to look at my phone." I think about this. "So don't." I tell him. He looks at me in shock.

"Did the ever so innocent Karrington Walker just encourage me to keep on ignoring her very own sister?" I look away from him. I'm blushing. "You have to do what is best for you." I tell him. He looks at me for a while before he says, "So do you, Karrington."
