Gerard hadn't kissed anyone in his entire life. In fact, he was unsure on how to react when Frank's mouth met his. Mainly because it hadn't went according to Frank's plan and their noses bumped into one another awkwardly while their teeth mashed together in a way Gerard hadn't expected. Not only that, but Gerard didn't know exactly how close two people had to be in order to kiss.
Frank's breath as he whispered a small "Shit. Sorry." Was touching his face, warming up his already reddening cheeks. Gerard giggled awkwardly, shocked at how he could even smile when someone's lips were placed on his. The kiss, somehow, had been restarted without Gerard's knowing and this time his head turned to the side without him telling himself to do so and everything afterwards was perfect.
So perfect in fact, that Gerard couldn't describe it even if he had the right words. He wanted desperately to keep his lips on Frank's, but breathing was more important and the two had somehow ran out of breath during what felt like a single second kiss. One that to Gerard, would last forever.
Frank slid his mask back over his head before tugging Gerard's down afterwards. "Wow." Said Gerard. "Wow." Frank agreed. The two stared at eachother for a while before Gerard lowered his gaze to the ground while his face turned a slight shade of red. "You're cute when you blush Gee." "I-um, you're cute in general?" Gerard didn't really know how to respond to something like that.
They stood like that for a few minutes; Frank studying Gerard and Gerard focussing intently on the ground, until finally Gerard looked back up and refused to look away. He needed to say something. He needed to tell Frank that...Well, he didn't know what he needed to tell Frank but he defenatly couldn't just keep staring at the shorter man like an idiot.
See, Gerard normally could say anything when he was with Frank since Frank seemed to be somewhat more awkward then him. But now that Frank was sure of himself-even though he had to stand on his tiptoes to even try and reach Gerard's height-Gerard couldn't seem to say a single word. In fact, his tongue stopped working entirely and he was left with his thoughts swirling as he stared into those hazel eyes that just seemed to make his heart melt.
"So..." Frank said. "So." Gerard agreed, his word coming out more as a squeak than an actual word. "I ruined everything, didn't I? Fuck Gee, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I should think before I do things. You hate me now, don't you?" Frank rambled as he rubbed his thumb on the guitar pick he wore around his neck.
"No." Gerard said before Frank could begin putting himself down. "It's okay. I just, I've never been kissed before." Frank didn't respond, choosing to keep playing with his necklace. Neither of them broke the eye contact yet and Gerard knew with a burning passion that they probably never would.
"Your eyes..." Frank whispered. "Are the most beautiful things I have ever seen." He pushed a strand of Gerard's hair away from his face, choosing to allow his fingers longer where they were longer than necessary. "Frank." Gerard choked out. "What?" "Can you get your hands off my face?"
Frank's eyes widened as he pulled away sharply. "S-Sorry. I didn't realize-" "No." Gerard interrupted with a nervous giggle. "It wasn't that, you were just, I don't know." Frank was making Gerard confused and unfortunately Gerard didn't know how to deal with whatever he was feeling and he could barely think with the man standing so close. He had no idea what he was feeling and even if he did, he knew he would've still been unable to put those feelings into words.
His heart was thumping in his chest and he knew he was sweating way too much. He was hoping Frank wouldn't notice how nervous he was. In fact, he kinda wanted Frank to leave so he could control his thought process-but also didn't want Frank to leave because it was Frank. And fuck. Frank was an amazing kisser.
