Mikey, Gerard thought. Looked exactly the same as he had when they were separated. Except the fear on his face was replaced with the lopsided grin Gerard had come to adore. His eyes were enough to light up an entire room as they met Gerard's-and for a split second; Gerard forgot about everything. He only knew his small brother in which was sobbing while he wrapped his arms around him.

"G-G-Gee." Mikey hiccuped as he cried. "It's okay." Gerard assured him. "It's okay." Mikey released a choked sob, allowing Gerard to rock him back and forth as he had once done when Mikey was only a child. "Y-You were gone an-and it hurt." Mikey whimpered. "It hurt so much."

Gerard couldn't help but agree. Though he didn't say it outloud, he had missed Mikey with all of his heart and having both his brother and boyfriend beside him was all he could've asked for.

"Don't cry." Gerard whispered as tears of his own went down his face. "Please don't cry." Now, as he suddenly felt the pain of almost losing his brother reenter his conscious, he began to sob as well; forgetting about the people who were watching. Even Frank, who he loved with all of his heart, was completely ignored. His world only exsisited of his younger brother and him.

"Gee." Mikey whispered. "You're sqeezing me." Gerard loosened his grip though not allowing Mikey to squirm away from him.

"Hey Mikes." Frank said as he sat on the foot of the bed. Mikey snuggled against Gerard and gave Frank a small smile. "Hi Frank." Frank returned the smile and patted Mikey's back.

Gerard glanced at Tyler and Josh, giving them a look which he hoped showed his wanting them to leave. Josh got the hint before Tyler did and placed Gerard's mask on the bedside table and grabbed Tyler's wrist, pulling him along.

Sniffling, Mikey rubbed at his eyes and laughed a little. "I jumped in front of a bullet for you." He giggled. Gerard could only nod. "You did." "And you left me." His mood though, surprisingly didn't change and he still held the smile on his face. Unfortunately Gerard felt like shit because of his brother pointing out the obvious.

"I'm sorry." "No." Mikey said. "It was fine. I passed out half an hour later anyways." "That's not fine. We left you for dead." "You would've died if you stayed behind. Black Masks were searching the entire building. Five of them came into the room while I was dying-Frank wouldn't have been able to fight them off."

"I'm glad they didn't kill you." "They tried, but Josh told them it was no use wasting a bullet on the dead. They left and then he and Tyler came back to help."

Gerard only sighed and breathed in his brother's scent. Although he smelled like chemicals, he was still Mikey and that was all Gerard could ask for. His younger sibling who he had been missing for weeks, had finally come within reach and Gerard vowed to keep it that way. He would rather, Gerard knew, die than have either Mikey or Frank taken from him again.

Gerard and Frank decided to stay in the infirmary for the rest of the day, taking turns sleeping while the other stayed on watch. Gerard trusted the rebels not to hurt them, but he knew saying that would only get Frank upset since Frank tended not to trust anyone.

So now while he watched Frank and Mikey cuddle on his lap, each on a knee, he could only smile at how lucky he was to have those two people in his life.

Of course Gerard had removed Frank's mask to make the man more comfortable while he slept; but Gerard didn't really see the harm in it as he knew Frank would forgive him.

He had failed over and over in keeping his younger brother safe, but both had resulted well and he was able to get his sibling back. Sadly, he had failed Frank once too, being the damsel in distress only left him with pain as Frank risked his life for Gerard and that was honestly something he both loved and hated about the man.
