Finals are finally over...... Thank God!
-Wildflower"What did I say? I said, 'Don’t get clever.'" John complained.
"I can’t just turn it on and off like a tap." Sher told him and he got his items back and we walked away.
"That is why I brought the bail." I sighed and I saw Sher roll his eyes at me.
"Well?" Sher asked us.
"Well what?" John asked in reply.
"You were there for the whole thing, up in the gallery, start to finish." He told more to John.
"Like you said it would be. He sat on his backside, never even stirred." John confirmed.
"Moriarty’s not mounting any defence."
"Now that is obvious becuase I had a few holes in my testimony for that reason." I told him and Sher nodded in agreement.
221B Baker Street........
"Bank of England, Tower of London, Pentonville. Three of the most secure places in the country and six weeks ago Moriarty breaks in, no-one knows how or why." John says as we walk into the flat.
"Well we three know why, it's obvious." I said as I sat on the couch, John sat in his chair and Sher bagan to pace.
"Not all of us." John said, talking about himself.
"James is there becuase he wants to be there, he is trying to prove that he can't be caught becuase he is going to bribe the jury. From the moment he was arrested this whole thing is rigged." I explained.
"Sam is right, John. Moriarty is powerful and will do anything to get what he wants." Sher agreed.
The next day.......
Sher was banned to going back to the court house for as long as the trail is still in progress. So, Sher and I stayed at the flat while John went back to see the rest of the trial. A while after he left Sher got a phone call from John and it was him saying that James had been found not guilty. Sherlock switches off the phone and gets up off the sofa. In the kitchen he switches on the kettle and slams down a small tray beside it, putting a jug of milk, a sugar bowl, a teapot and three cups and saucers with teaspoons onto the tray. The kettle comes to the boil and switches off and Sherlock, now wearing a jacket in place of the dressing gown, makes the tea and takes the tray to the table beside John’s chair, then walks over to his own chair and picks up his violin and bow. As he begins to play. Sherlock, standing with his back to the living room door, keeps playing until Jim pushes open the door, then he stops but doesn’t yet turn around. "Most people knock. But then you’re not most people, I suppose." Sher tells to my brother as I sat on the couch. "Kettle is just boiled." James walks further into the room and bends to pick up an apple from the bowl on the coffee table.
"Johann Sebastian would be appalled." James commented on Sher's playing ability. James then looks around as of he is looking for a seat. "May I?"
"Please." Sher then points at John's chair with the bow of his violin. James immediately walks over to Sherlock’s chair and sits in that one instead. Sherlock looks slightly unnerved. James takes out a small penknife and starts to cut into the apple while Sherlock puts down the violin and begins to pour tea into the cups.
"You know when he was on his death bed, Bach, he heard his son at the piano playing one of his pieces. The boy stopped before he got to the end ..." James was cut off by Sherlock.
"... and the dying man jumped out of his bed, ran straight to the piano and finished it." Sher finished.
"Couldn’t cope with an unfinished melody." James smirked.
