"Yoongi!" Jimin ran after his best friend who was quickly shuffling down the sidewalk on the way to his next class.
"Can I help you?" Yoongi asked, his nose was in a book and he read and walked at an impressivley fast pace.
"Actually, yeah. I have to cancel plans tonight for the Java Jam. Jungkookie just called he's sick and I have to look after him," Jimin said.
"Okay, then I just won't go, not like I enjoy being in public anyways" Yoongi remarked.
"Oh no you don't. I have a friend, Jung Hoseok. He's a sophomore and a philosophy major and he's going to accompany you" Jimin replied.
Yoongi sighed heavily, great, the one thing he hated more than movie adaptations.
"A philosophy major? Really, Jimin, is that the best that you can do?" Yoongi asked. He had to admit that although he loved his best friend to bits, he wouldn't be caught dead with a philosophy nerd.
"He's the sun as a person, he enjoys most literature, he's respectful and also he's totally your type. Give Hobi hyung a chance, okay?" Jimin had been trying to find Yoongi a compatible boyfriend for months and the cold boy could never keep them for more than one month.
"Well, I-"
"You're down? That's amazing, I knew you wouldn't decline me, Yoongi hyung!" Jimin cut him off before he could argue and quickly ran off to his next class, leaving Min Yoongi standing in the school yard irritated and utterly confused.
-
Yoongi's alarm went off at three in the afternoon and he shot up to get ready for the Java Jam that the local coffee shop was holding. He found it a perfect opportunity to listen to authors and artists and to also share some of his own pieces. It was one of the perks of being in the literary department.
Yoongi didn't exactly attend the university that his best friend went to, he would hold classes here and there but he mostly just went there to read and surround himself with like-minded adults as himself. This may have also been a reason why he couldn't find a date, because he already graduated he was 25 years old and the boys Jimin set him up with were just in their early twenties and usually just wanted a good fuck.
Yoongi didn't expect this Hoseok guy to be any different.
"Jimin, do I have to?" Yoongi asked over the phone in one last hope to get out
"Yes, now stop whining and get ready, Hoseok is going to pick you up in five minutes" Jimin said.
"Five minutes? You didn't tell me I had to get ready so fast, fuck!" Yoongi cursed and hung up the phone. He threw it on his bed and ran to grab his journal and glasses because to be honest, he was staring to go blind.
"Why didn't he just give me Hoseok's number? Now I'll have to ask for it ugh, damn social interaction." Yoongi huffed.
About five minutes later, there was a knock on his door.
"Coming!" Yoongi walked up and opened his front door to be met with a guy not but a few inches taller than him dressed in ripped skinny jeans and a colorful hawaiian shirt.
"So you're Hoseok?" Yoongi asked. Based on how he looked Yoongi already felt like he wasn't going to enjoy this evening. But maybe Jimin could prove him wrong for once. Hoseok's vibrant shirt contrasted Yoongi's all black attire. Yoongi wore a black turtle neck with black jeans and a grey overcoat, with the glasses one would even say he looked like a professor.
