THE EXOTIC DANCER CHAPTER 026✔ "Without a doubt."
Even though i find myself pretty sure of what it is i want to ask Taehyung i still allow different questions to spread through my mind.
Maybe there is a possibility that i will find a better one. I am not really interested in knowing any deep dark secrets but i think there is a possibility he could find my question a little difficult to answer.
"After some though i decided that my first question can wait. I feel the need to take advantage of this opportunity." Taehyung states, sitting uncomfortably within the stea he is supposed to.
The both of us waiting for Andie to come back with her stuff ready.
"Okay Shailene. Do you honestly believe that your current career path was the only choice for you?And do you ever regret choosing it?" I can tell just how uneasy he feels as he asks me that question. I wonder how much it must have been eating at him for him to finally decide to push through that and ask me.
I lean upon the wall, looking at him. Making sure not to break eye contact no matter how uncomfortable his question may have made me.
"I think our lives are full of choices and for the most part every situation has more than one even though it might feel as if you only have one choice, there may be another. It just feels like there isn't because the second choice may be unbearably painful." i begin. Taehyung listening carefully to my heartfelt and honest reply.
"I am sure that there were other choices for me at that time. As i stand here before you now it's hard to be able to recognize and pinpoint them all but i do know a couple. Some of them would have been harder and if you want to think i chose the easy way out of my situation then you can but i made a choice just like every person has to do in their lives and i live with the good and the bad that come with it every day. I don't regret my decision even though what i do is hard on me. I know things could have turned out a lot worse." My hands grip onto each other as i speak, not being able to contain that nervousness that come from speaking these words.
I don't know what about this conversation is getting to me but something is. I feel uneasy and fragile.
I hate it.
"I think that at this point the choice is made and thinking about all the things that could have been will only make me miss what is happening now. I can't live in a land of what if's. Whether or not there were other hocies, this is the one i took. And don't misunderstand and think that out of the choices i had there were better ones. I choose the lesser of two evils with this." It seems as if there was something inside me that needed to be spoken. The truth maybe.
