"I Told You"
Taehyung's POV
"I told you! I told you! I told you! I told you." My father shouts at the top of his lungs because he knows he can and because he is obviously upset.
He is red in the face, fists clenched as he rambles on and on about the problem we find ourselves in at the moment.
Kacey, my younger sister leans down on my shoulder. If i had known she was home the whole time i would have never brought Shailene in here. It brings up too many questions and although my father might not be one for blinding Kacey from the truth i am.
She is too young. And even despite of age, she it too kind. My reality is not going to become hers.
She holds onto my arms and smiled a bit, somehow able to hold the face even with our father kicking the couch aggressively.
"You know Tae, this may be a shot in the dark. Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm thinking that he told you." She whispers in my ear, her tone a joking one and her words manage to make me smile.
"I knew this wasn't a good idea! I knew it the minute i saw her in the boardroom that she was trouble!" My father continued on, no longer even thinking about how to manage the situation. He just wants to go off about it as loud as possible.
I can't help but roll my eyes at his words.
He knew this wasn't a good idea?
Never did he one say he thought investing with them was a bad idea. He was cautious but he is always cautious. It was just my job to have the final say because if it was my choice then i am the one who can be blamed.
He never suspected. He thought Max was the perfect type of lowlife to take the job and finish it without a hitch. Seeing shailene there presenting the first day definitely threw us both off but we both just assumed something must have come up.
That she was just a second in command sort. What problems would we have with a measly bartender?
Everything went to shit from there on though. Shailene is his best friend and to come between the two of them seems to be impossible. If his excessive drinking didn't do it and the drugs don't either i doubt anything will. That's dangerous for her, in more ways than one.
Shailene has these morals... and morals like that are hard to convert. She is someone my father will never get on his side willingly and he knows that now.
