"Well, thank you for today. It was definitely interesting." Taehyung says as i step up upon the first step that leads to my building.
With one hand still held upon the handle of the door i turn back to look at him a smile plastered on my face as i do feel very happy about the way today went.
I do wish i could have done more but then again it could have thrown him off. I think it's good that the first day managed to be light and exciting.
Not that i am implying i would hope for more days alone with him.
Today was nice but i dont have the time to fool around like this regularly. I have responsibilities and i have to keep reminding myself of that.
It seems i have been keep that fact in mind a lot more today than i usually have to.
Today was different and although it definitely had its bad moments my time spent with Taehyung was... amazing may be too strong of a word to use to describe how i feel about the day i just had but then again no other words manage to come to mind.
So i guess today was amazing.
I can't remember the last time i laughed like this, or even smiled this much. I have my moments of extreme happiness but a lot of stuff like this is pushed far to the back to make room for all the work and responsibilities i have.
I wish it didn't have to be this way but i have a good understanding of my circumstances.
I do not have the time to act my age.
I tell myself that a lot and it always hit me in a strange way. Usually when people tell you to act your age it is because you are acting childishly but i can't act my age. I must be more mature and forget about the number of years i have lived.
Although i don't think all maturity comes from age, i think it can come from life situations too. A lot of the way we experience, feel, and act towards things are based on the environment we lived. Your past really does shape you.
You just have to work hard at making sure it doesn't define you.
"Yeah....it has definitely been a day i will not soon forget." I reply, digging into my bag in the search for his car keys. When i find them i wrap my hands around them tight. Pulling them from the bag before tossing them through the air in his direction.
He scoops them out of the air with a light chuckle. "I almost forgot."
I am sure in time he would have remembered because without them he would be walking all the way home.
