THE EXOTIC DANCER CHAPTER 033✔ "A Child"
I am quick to lean forward and take Max from Taehyung's arms when i see them standing in my doorway. The weight upon me is heavy even when i'm not doing most of the lifting. Taehyung not letting go of Max completely as we lead him to the couch.
"What the hell happened?" I ask frantically as Lucy stands up, giving Taehyung a spot to lay the almost unconscious man onto.
Max's face is bruised, red marks lining his left cheekbone. Dried blood staining the area under his nose as small breaths escape his slightly parted lips. His eyes are barely open but slight groans slip from those lips of his.
"Your boyfriend showed up at my dads house. Wasted as fuck which is no surprise, Tries to start a fight with security and gets his ass beat, but of course not before he got a few good shots in." Taehyung explains seeming out of breath himself.
I see Lucy tilt her head and although she seems slightly traumatized by the scene she still finds a way to ask the important questions. "Your house has security guards?"
Taehyung manages to let out a small bit of laughter before nodding his head. Hald pressed upon the back of the couch as he steadies himself.
I give Lucy a light slap to her shoulder explaining to her that whether he has or doesn't have security guards at his house is not the overall point when her godfather is bleeding on our choice.
"Lucy go to the bathroom and we a cloth for me please." I request. She lets out a small groan and pulls herself up and off of the floor, reluctantly walking off to get what i had asked for.
I watch Joe stand up from his seat as well, looking down at Max with an all-knowing look. "Well..you know what they say-"
Before he can finish his sentence i stand up straight, holding my finger out to him in the way i did with Lucy. "Not a word." I order, not in the mood to hear what he has to say about the situation at this very moment.
He smiles and takes my finger in his hand, lowering it. "You are too stressed."
I pull my hand away, opening my arms up to gesture at the situation we are surrounded in. "I'm too stressed? Do you see this situation? One old man, a teenage girl, the bleeding, intoxicated, drug dealing pimp, the son of someone who i truly believe is some sort of mob boss. And a stripper. What kind of joke are we."
Joe holds his hands up to me in protest. "Shailene you know i don't like that word. Just say Exotic Dancer."
I sigh, lifting my left hand to run through my hair. "Okay Joe... The Exotic Dancer."
