Stephanie came a little early so we could practice a bit before Allure opens up. So I quickly made my way to the back and opened up my bag to start getting ready.
I always keep one here just in case. You would be suprised to know how much I actually use it.
Max has a bunch of extra stuff upstairs. Especially for theme nights. But I would rather not borrow anything else he owns. I fear ruining something and having to pay for it afterwards.
I grab a pretty simple dress. A dress I wouldn't have considered a dress before I started working here. But apparently it qualifies.
It hugs onto my body tightly as I pull it on. The straps a bit tight over my shoulders. And the length not coming very far down my thighs.

I remember when a dress like this would have made me feel nervous and exposed. My first couple days here I cried, my emotions got to me.
It was scary, and I was young. Just thinking about past moments like that makes my middle finger tap along the palm of my hand. Over and over again sending pulses of anxiety through my body.
I look into the mirror and take a deep breath knowing there isn't anything to be nervous about anymore.
"Just breathe." I whisper to myself. My voice carries through the empty room.
I pull on my shoes and make my way out of the room. Last the bar I see Max back at it again. Talking to some of his friends while he downs a shot.
I shake my head in disapproval. I will have to talk with him about this later.
I know I shouldn't be telling my boss how to live his life. But I also shouldn't sit by while my friend begins to slowly end his life.
