THE EXOTIC DANCER CHAPTER 048✔"Sorry I've Failed You"
Stumbling up the stairs was definitely the highlight of the night. My knee was sure to bruise from the tumble i took going up the first flight. And my hair was probably a mess from the second fall when i decided to just lay there for a while before moving again.
I was never a bad drunk, i wouldn't get too out of control so that was always comforting to know. Even drunk my brain was too serious to let me have much fun. It was like while i was intoxicated my mind was too busy on trying to compile lists of things for me to focus on once i sobered up.
My speech would slur just a bit and my balance would be fucked, but other than that i was a picture of soberness. I could think pretty normally, answer questions properly and all that. I could probably recite the national anthem if i concentrated.
While drinking i would feel a bit silly, maybe make a few stupid jokes but the biggest thing i did when i was intoxicated was laughing. I would laugh at anything and everything especially if it wasn't funny. I was a ball of chuckles and giggles when i had a couple of drinks in me.
I inserted my key into the door with a heavy breath, wanting to just fall upon the floor and sleep once it creaked open. But when i saw the lights on and two people sitting in the middle of the living room all my hope for sleep was repeatedly shot. It was a very disappointing sight.
"Fuuuuuuck!" I grumbled, kicking my shoes off aggressively when i saw Joe and Taehyung chatting it up in my living room like they owned the place. At first i had to glance around to make sure i was actually in my apartment, but soon after i remembered the key. I didn't have the key to Joe's apartment with me, therefore this was definitely my apartment.
Oh look, there's my kitchen!
Yup, i'm in the right place.
Taehyung stood up when i entered, very gentleman like. But seeing his face just made me feel aggressive. I half wanted to reach down and attempt to throw my shoe across the room at him but i knew if i leaned down for it i would not be getting back up.
"Language. Please." Joe scolded with a disappointed look upon his face. He looked me over like a disheartened father. But i was not in the mood for his judgement. I didn't give a damn if he approved of my choices, what's done was done.
"What do you think you are doing? You have time to drink and party now?" He questioned, seriousness in his tone.
I pressed my palm upon the small table beside me, trying to balance everything out. Hoping it would keep me from tipping over. I didn't want to seem worse than i was. My mind was slowly taking everything in and processing it. I could think, i just couldn't stand well.
"You were the one telling me i needed a life right? I needed to get out there, have some fun." I finally replied, not understanding his opposition to the situation.
