Aquila was confused.

She basically went against everything Cedric asked her to do; she punched Cassie, called Cho names again, put explosives in her bra, and she yelled at him.

She did everything he asked her not to do, but he kissed her.

It was like in that moment, everything bad that happened was erased. He wasn't mad; he wasn't upset. It was all calm; it was all good.

Aquila couldn't speak. For once in her life, words failed her. There was nothing to say after that. After that kiss. Everything unspoken had been silently spoken, silently understood.

She felt clam, tranquil. She was in a sort of mood she'd never been in since her first year when she got her letter. When she jumped around the house and shook her parents awake. When she didn't let their mood bring her down. When she didn't care about anything at all except the wonder and mystery of her new world.

His kiss brought her back there. She felt like she was floating. Like her feet somehow weren't on the ground.

Cedric felt a little differently. For one, his insides turned to jelly. He was terrified she would hurt him for some reason. She'd yell at him for randomly kissing her while she was ranting. But he was also happy too. He felt warm. Oh, he had longed just to kiss her, and now that he had, he felt better than ever. He felt the strong happiness of getting his first broom and learning to fly around his backyard.

Finally, Aquila spoke. Her voice was strong, but there was something different about it, something Cedric couldn't put a name to. "So that happened."

"Yeah," he said. "That happened."

Aquila looked down to the dirt before looking back up and Cedric and wrapping her arms around him in a hug. "Thanks," she said.

"Any time," Cedric said. "My lips are at your service."

"Shhh! Don't ruin the moment, Ceddy Bear!" Aquila commanded softly in his ear.

"Sorry," he whispered into her green hair.

"Ced," Aquila mumbled.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Let's stay out here for a while."

"Anything for you, Star Girl."

"I don't see it," Cedric said. He was laying on the ground next to Aquila who was pointing to a spot in the sky where the Aquila constellation was supposed to me.

"It's an eagle," Aquila told him. "Like the Ravenclaw eagle. It's a bird with wings-"

"I know what eagles look like, Quil!" Cedric shouted.

"Stargazing is supposed to be relaxing, Ced," she said. "You're making this awfully stressful. Let's just look for another constellation. Scorpius is just over there-"

"No!" Cedric insisted. "I want to find your constellation. And I want to look at it every night."

Aquila smiled, "Alright, then let's get my telescope."

"Quil, we don't have time to grab a telescope-"

"Accio telescope!" Aquila shouted, and the telescope flew right to them.

"I guess we do," Cedric said.

"Never underestimate the power of Star Girl," Aquila said. She set up the telescope and adjusted the lens just right for Cedric to see the constellation.

However, even with the use of Aquila's telescope, Cedric still couldn't see the constellation. "Is there anything else you can do?" Cedric asked. "Like, can you make those stars shine brighter?"

"Yeah," she said. "I can do that." Aquila stared up at her namesake constellation and willed the stars around it to form an arrow, pointing it out. It seemed to be working.

Cedric gasped. "Did you do that? Did you make that arrow?"

Aquila nodded, "I've moved stars before-"

"Aquila, you just moved stars!"

"That's what I said."

"No. No, you moved them. You moved things that are thousands of millions of kilometers away! It's like telekinesis!"

"Please, I don't have telekinesis. That sound like some muggle theory shit. And you have seen me move stars before. I do it every summer."

"It isn't a muggle theory! It's a real thing-a talent of wizards and witches! I can't believe I didn't notice before... Quil, you really are one in a million! This talent is super rare..."

"But when I stop thinking about them, the stars go back," Aquila said. "Look. The arrow is gone."

"But they did move," Cedric said. "This is huge, Quil!"

"Okay, let's just say I do have this telekinesis thingy," Aquila said. "How does that explain the stars talking to me."

"Maybe it's your subconscious using the telekinesis to move the stars into your own thoughts."

"Yeah, right," Aquila snorted. "I do not have telekinesis. If I do, how come it doesn't work on other things? I can't move things on this planet. I can't move the moon or the sun or the earth. It's just the stars. There is no term to explain this. It isn't telekinesis. I'm just Star Girl."

"I still think it's tele-"

"No!"

"Fine! Fine... not telekinesis. Just a gift from the stars."

"Exactly," Aquila said. "But I appreciate you trying to figure this out. It's really confusing to me."

"I'll help you all I can," Cedric said.

Aquila smiled and sat back down in the grass. Cedric sat beside her and wrapped his arm around her. She put her head on his shoulder, and they sat in silence looking at the stars.

You two are so cute together.

Aquila furrowed her brow. "Ced, can you see that?"

"See what?" he asked.

"The words in the sky, plain as day," she said. She even pointed to where they were.

"There's nothing there, Quil," he said.

"So much for subconscious mind telekinwhatis," Aquila muttered, rolling her eyes.

"I heard that," Cedric said.

"I'm glad your ears work," Aquila said. "My mouth is literally right next to your ear. I know damn well you heard that."

"Stop swearing!"

"Never, Eyebrow Sweat."

"I figured you'd say that, Star Girl."
