|*| flashback to the maze because why the hell not? |*|

Cedric had been walking around aimlessly in the maze for about ten minutes when he heard a twig snap. He raised his wand and pointed it in the direction of the sound, almost jumping backwards when he saw Jennifer Trelawney shaking where she stood.

"H-hey, Cedric," she greeted him with the wave of her hand. "Having fun too?"

"You scared the crap out of me," Cedric informed her.

"The feeling's mutual, buddy," she told him. "At least I'm not a nundu or something."

"Do you really think there are nundus in here?" Cedric asked, fear coursing through him suddenly.

"How am I supposed to know?" Jennifer asked. "It's not like I can see the future or anything." The girl suddenly burst out laughing.

"Be quiet," Cedric suggested. "Someone else might hear us, and-I don't know about you-but I don't trust some of the other competitors."

"Good point," she said. "So, wanna stick together then? I mean, it's a little creepy in this maze alone..."

Cedric nodded, "You're right. We should stick together. Two is better than one."

"Great," Jennifer said, "lets go get that cup and get the hell out of here."

"Agreed."

The two students walked through the maze in silence until they came across Victor Krum, who launched himself at Cedric, pushing him to the ground. He struggled to get away, but Krum was far stronger than he was.

Jennifer was quick to find the solution, and she stunned Krum. Cedric sprang to his feet and pointed his wand at the quidditch player, ready to strike.

"Cedric, leave him," Jennifer said. "Look at his eyes. He's under some sort of bewitchment."

"Who could've done this?" Cedric asked, pocketing his wand within his robes. After he spoke, Jennifer fell to the ground and rolled around, screaming out in terror. Cedric had absolutely no idea what was happening, but judging by what Aquila had told him about the girl, she must've been having a vision.

"Jennifer!" Cedric called, trying to stop the girl from rolling around. "Jennifer, it's okay! Jennifer!"

As suddenly as it happened, it stopped. Jennifer's body stopped moving, and she stopped screaming. Her eyes popped open immediately, and she looked around, unsure of where she was.

"Vision?" she asked.

"Vision," Cedric answered, nodding. He extended his hand for her to take and helped her up. "What did you see?"

"There was... there was a man," Jennifer recalled, trying to rack her brain for the answers. "He looked... I can't really explain it, but he looked horrible. He seemed to be a wicked human being, and his face was just terrifying to see..."

She trailed off, but quickly spoke again with worry in her voice, "I saw Krum's attacker. I saw him-he's here! That man is here at Hogwarts!" She gasped and tried aimlessly to catch her breath. "What if he's here? Inside the maze? Oh, bloody hell! We're dead! We're all dead, Cedric!"

The Ravenclaw girl was now hyperventilating and fanning herself with her hands. She couldn't keep still and began walking in quick circles around Cedric, repeating the words "We're dead! We're all dead!"

"Calm down!" Cedric shouted. Jennifer stopped moving and quieted herself.

"Sorry," she muttered, looking to the ground. "I get that from Sybill."
