There was one thing Aquila forgot.
As she marched through corridors to the Slytherin common room, it dawned on her that her whole operation could potentially be compromised. She had forgotten to do the most important of all things: get rid of the real Alexis Greenwall.
If Carlos or Abby or anyone in the castle saw two Alexises walking around, everything would be ruined. It would be even worse if Alexis saw her; she'd know it was Aquila immediately.
Or maybe she'd think it was Abby.
Luckily, Aquila found the real Alexis alone in a corridor. When Alexis saw her double walking toward her, she screamed. "Abby? Aren't you in the common room? Wait, who are you?"
"Good night, Lexi," Aquila said. She repeated a spell that could induce sleep for a couple hours, and Alexis fell asleep in the corridor. "This is all a bad dream."
Aquila was thankful that she ran into Alexis when she did, because right around the corner was Carlos Blake. "Lexi, I heard you scream. What's wrong?"
"Nothing, Car," Aquila said in her best Alexis imitation. It seemed to work.
"You can tell me what's bothering you," he said.
"Well, I... I think this relationship isn't working."
"What do you mean? I thought we had something."
"Well, you thought wrong," Aquila said. "Carlos, I'm breaking up with you."
"Why?" he asked.
"It's not me," Aquila said, "it's you."
She walked away without a second glance and went into the Slytherin Tower for phase two.

Aquila entered the common room in tears. When Abby came to ask her what was wrong, she cried, "Carlos just broke up with me! That jerk!"
"I'll get him for this, sis," Abby said. "He'll pay for breaking your heart!"
"Thanks Abby," Aquila said. "You're the best sister I could've asked for."
Abby walked away to make Carlos pay, and Aquila wiped away her fake tears. She snuck out of the common room and back to the bathroom.
Myrtle and Jennifer were still there. "How'd it go?" Myrtle asked.
"All according to plan," Aquila said.
Jennifer high fived Aquila, and the three girls sat in the bathroom and talked until curfew.

Alexis woke up and found herself laying on the floor. Percy Weasley, a Prefect from Gryffindor, was standing above her with his arms crossed. "What do you think you're doing outside at this hour?"
"I don't know," Alexis said. "I don't remember anything."
"Get back to your dormitory," Percy said.
"Whatever, Weasley," Alexis said. She walked back to the Slytherin Tower and found Carlos talking to Draco Malfoy in the common room.
"Alexis broke up with me," Carlos said. "And her sister punched me in the face."
Alexis never did anything of the sort! She wouldn't've broken up with him; she thought their relationship was doing just fine! Then she remembered the double. Someone impersonated her, and that someone broke her up with Carlos.
That someone was going to pay. And she knew just who to interrogate first.

"You did what?" Cedric asked.
"I'm not repeating myself again," Aquila said. "It's not that big of a deal."
"She'll know it was you," Cedric said.
"No she won't," Aquila said.
"This is why I don't trust you!" Cedric said.
"Oh, Ced, I know you trust me," Aquila said. "You're just mad because I didn't let you help."
"No, Quil," he said. "You've crossed a serious line here!"
"A line that nobody will ever find out about. This stays between us, Jennifer, and Moaning Myrtle."
"Fine, but I will not help you when she comes for revenge."
"You know you will."

Alexis assumed the person who impersonated her was her sister. She only freaked out because she thought Abby was in the common room. Maybe that's what she wanted her to think.
Abby refused to admit to doing it, but Alexis knew she did. She was the only one who looked like her.
Her second thought was of Aquila, but it couldn't've been the green haired girl. The costume would've been very elaborate, and Aquila couldn't copy her voice.
It was Abby, and nothing could change Alexis's mind about it.

"She thinks I messed up her relationship!" Abby ranted to Aquila that night in the dorms. Abby and Aquila had been getting along better that year, and maybe they were becoming friends.
"That's hippogriff shit!" Aquila said. "Why would you do something like that?"
"I wouldn't! I thought they were cute together."
"How come she thinks it's you?"
"She says I impersonated her," Abby said. "Said it couldn't have been anyone else."
"Let her think what she wants to think," Aquila told her. "She'll figure the truth out in the end."
"Hopefully the end comes soon."
"Hopefully."
Aquila felt guilty. She never wanted to hurt Abby; just Alexis. She felt bad for ruining their sisterly bond. But at the same time, she was relieved that Alexis didn't suspect her.
