“So how far along are you?” He asked looking over at me. “Three months.” I said as I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
He nodded and we continued to walk home. Once we got home, we went upstairs to get ready for bed when a knock sounded at the front door. I walked downstairs and opened the door to see Shikamaru standing there yawning.
“What are you doing here?” I asked confusedly. “Lady Tsunade wants to see you and Neji.” He answered. I nodded and went upstairs to see Neji lying in bed.
“Neji.” I said gently as I shook his shoulder. He opened his eyes and looked up at me. “What is it?” He asked sleepily. “Lady Tsunade wants to see us.” I answered as he got out of bed to get dressed.
We walked downstairs and followed Shikamaru to the Hokage’s office.
He knocked on the door and a muffled voice told us to come in. We all bowed to the blond woman who sat the desk. “You summoned us Lady Fifth.” I said respectfully as we straightened up.
“I’m out.” Shikamaru said with a yawn. Once we heard to door close, Lady Tsunade leaned her elbows on her desk and gave us a serious look.
She picked a scroll up from her desk and handed it to me. “This arrived for you from Kirigakure today.” She said.
I opened the scroll, my heart pounding as I began reading its contents. Soon hot tears began running down my face and the scroll fell to the ground as I collapsed to my knees.
I felt arms go around me and pull me close to the person as I sobbed into their shoulder. I heard Neji’s soft voice comfort me as he rubbed soothing circles on my back.
After a few minutes, I calmed down enough so that I was able to talk. I pulled away from Neji and he kissed me on the forehead.
We stood up and I looked at Lady Tsunade. “L-Lady Tsunade, w-we n-need to go to Kirigakure please.” I said with a bow. “Why? What’s happened?” She asked confusedly.
“My parents have died.” I said sadly. I felt Neji’s hand on my back as I stood up. “Very well. Both of you are excused to go to Kirigakure in order to attend the funerals.” She said. We bowed and left to get our things ready before we went to sleep.

*The next day*
We woke up at dawn and grabbed our bags before beginning our 2 week journey to my homeland, the Land of Water.
