I walked out to the living room to see two large pools of dried blood on the floor next to the table.
“What the hell?” I said as I bent down to examine the stains closer. As I crouched down, I began to notice the smell of death that the pools emitted. I covered my mouth and nose to stop myself from vomiting.
I began feeling dizzy and nauseous as I stood up, causing me to start falling. Neji caught me by the small of my back and stood me up. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “It seems like they were murdered here.” I said in disbelief.
His eyes widened a fraction before he sighed. I went back to kitchen and cooked while he cleaned the house up a bit.
We ate in silence and washed the dishes before we headed to the back of the house and going to bed for the night. We got changed and laid down in bed. I laid with my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed me on the lips briskly.
“Don’t worry about it. We’ll tell the Mizukage tomorrow. Ok?” He whispered. I nodded. “Goodnight. I love you.” We whispered to each other before we finally fell asleep.
