"Yo!” A voice called. I looked over to see Ino waving vigorously at me. I smiled as she walked over. “Ino-chan.” I said as I gave her a small smile. I gave her a hug before we turned back to watch Sasuke’s fight. “The winner is Sasuke Uchiha!” Hayate said. Sakura and Ino cheered.
“I knew that Sasuke-kun would win.” Ino said as she stuck her tongue out at Sakura. “How many times do I have to tell you that Sasuke-kun’s mine Ino Pig?” Sakura asked with a glare. “Back off Billboard Brow! He’d obviously choose me!” Ino retorted causing the two to start a glaring contest. “P-Please don’t fight right now.” I sighed
The next two names came up on the board.
Aburame Shino
vs.
Abumi Zaku
I smirked to myself as the two walked down to the arena. “This should be an interesting battle.” I said to Hinata in a hushed tone. “Do your best Shino-kun.” She said. I looked down at the one I assumed was Zaku. He was a sound ninja with two bandaged arms and messy brown hair.
“I’m going to go see how Neji-kun is doing.” I said as I walked away. I walked over to the three older shinobi before Lee noticed me. “Hello (y/n)-san.” Lee said with a large grin. “Hello Lee-kun.” I said with a smile and a slight wave. Tenten looked up and smiled at me. “Hello (y/n).” She said. “Hi.” I said happily before standing next to Neji.
“Shouldn’t you be over with your team?”He asked without looking up from the fight. I shook my head. “Naruto-chan is off who knows where, Sasuke-san went with somewhere with Kakashi-sensei and Sakura-chan is busy arguing with Ino-chan.” I explained. He nodded in understanding.
I couldn't take my eyes off of him. His long brown hair shone in the light which contrasted greatly with his milky white skin and pale lavender eyes.
I heard a scream and looked down to see Shino’s bugs crawling out of the holes in Zaku’s hands. I smirked to myself happily when Hayate declared that Shino had won. I didn’t pay much attention to the next fight but from what I understood, it was between the cat looking guy from the Sand Siblings team and this guy named Tsurugi Misumi from the Leaf.
I watched as Sakura and Ino walked down to the arena and stood on opposite sides. I began getting nervous as I watched my friends begin their fight. I zoned out quickly. “I wonder who I’ll fight.” “I wonder where Neji is.” “Does he like me too?”
I was pulled out of my thoughts by a loud thud. I looked down at the arena to see both Ino and Sakura passed out. Kakashi-sensei and Asuma-sensei jumped down to the arena and collected their unconscious students.
