Megan smiled as she stepped into the restaurant where she was meeting her friends for some lunch; Sergio had gone to training and it was her first day off in a long time.
It was a nice sunny day and Megan was wearing a purple printed gypsy dress paired with nude patient wedges; she was determined to enjoy her day off no matter what.
Marisol Fernandez grinned as she spotted Megan and nodded in approval of what she had chosen to wear to have lunch with them; she was a designer and was forever trying to play dress up with her friends.
Marisol pulled Megan into a hug making Nicola Vega roll her eyes as she watched the two, she knew what Marisol could be like if you didn't dress according to her standards.
“I love the look… how was Italy?” Marisol said as she allowed Megan to sit down, the blonde fixed her hair before she looked at her other two friends.
“It was nice… nothing like Madrid though,” Megan replied making Annie laugh and nod her head in agreement; they all had to agree that their home city was the best place in the world.
Nicola and Marisol looked at one another then back at Megan, who looked at them suspiciously, they grinned making Megan groan as she realised that they had something planned.
Annie Smith rolled her eyes, as the two others woman continued to grin at Megan, who looked at them wondering what they were up to; she didn’t trust them and it set her on edge.
“We have found you the perfect guy,” Marisol squealed after a moment in excitement; Megan rolled her eyes and shook her head making Nicola frown as she wondered why she wasn’t a little excited about this.
“I’ve told you… I’m seeing someone,” Megan said taking a sip of water as she set down her black charm crochet bag; she couldn't tell them who it was since she knew that it would endanger her secret.
“Again with the mystery guy Megan… you’ve been seeing him for a year and a half now and we have never met him,” Marisol snapped annoyed making Megan sigh, she hated not being able to tell her friends about Sergio; but right now it was for the best that they didn’t know.
Annie had known for a while now who, Megan was dating; she trusted Annie to keep her secret, since she knew it was important for her to hide the truth.
“I know,” Megan said simply making Nicola look at her suspiciously but didn’t speak; she knew that her friend was hiding something and she didn't like it.
“So are you going to tell us, who he is?” Marisol said making Megan shake her head as she tried to distract herself and ease the guilt that was eating away at her.
Marisol pursed her lips annoyed that she didn't know Megan’s secret, she loved secrets and didn’t understand why she was being kept out of this one.
“Come on Megan… why are you being so secretive?” Marisol asked making Megan looked down at her hands feeling horrible for lying to them; Annie sensing Megan’s discomfort cleared her throat.
“So what are we ordering?” Annie asked as Megan caught sight of Sergio with his team-mates arriving for lunch.
“Ladies… desert has just arrived,” Marisol said fixing her hair as she watched the players move to a table at the other side of the restaurant; she loved eye candy and she was sure she looked perfect to attract attention.
Megan looked at Annie who grinned at her, her eyes flickered to Sergio who was talking to Iker; she couldn’t believe that they were eating at the same restaurant.
“Maybe today is my lucky day,” Marisol said as Megan rolled her eyes, she knew how much Marisol adored the idea of having a footballer for a husband.
