Megan never believed in her life that her father would ever do something like this to her; she had expected him to be mad, maybe even disinherit her, but she never expected him to send her to an Unwedded Mother’s Home.

If it wasn’t for Erica Santos, Megan didn’t know what she would do; Erica was Megan’s room-mate in the home that her father had sent her to.

Of course the two women had bonded right away with Erica looking out for her having not long arrived herself, they kept each other sane and knew that it was the only way that they would get out okay.

The two women stuck together trying to ignore the constant emotional abuse and pushes for them to put their unborn children up for adoption.

Megan sighed as she looked down at her stomach, she was now two months pregnant and she hadn’t seen Sergio in two weeks; she wondered if he knew she was missing.

Megan only had a small number of clothes with her and she dreaded the day that she would be forced to hand them over for the maternity gowns that the others wore.

Erica offered Megan a smile, this place slowly broke women down and she hoped that it didn’t have to either of them; they needed to be strong and they would get out soon.

“Are you okay?” Erica asked making Megan look at her and nod her head, she often thought about Sergio and she hoped that he would find her soon; she didn’t believe what the staff kept telling her about him abandoning her and their baby.

“I was thinking about him,” Megan replied careful not to say Sergio’s name and cause the matron to shout at her again; she had been shocked at what had happened when she had mentioned her boyfriend during one of her sessions.

Megan had been shocked by what the matron had told her and refused to believe half of what she had said; Sergio loved her and their baby and would never abandon them.

Erica smiled at her, before she moved to comfort her friend knowing that this wasn’t easy; it would break the best of people how they were treated.

“I bet right now that he’s looking for you,” Erica said hugging Megan, they sat quietly taking in what was happening to them, until they heard matron calling all the women for dinner.

Erica rolled her eyes; it felt like being back in school despite the two of them now being grown-ups and expecting children of their own; they ran this place with military precision.

Megan slowly got to her feet, she hated eating dinner here and she always felt like she had done something wrong by falling pregnant; she just hoped that Sergio would find them soon.

Not long after dinner, Megan was told she had an appointment with the doctor; she had nodded before she had been ushered away from Erica to the doctor’s office.

Megan bit her lip watching the doctor read over her chart, his nurse prepping the ultra-sound machine for Megan’s scan.

“So Miss Martinez… any thoughts about what you will do after the birth?” the doctor asked looking over his glasses at Megan; he truly hoped that she would see sense in the months that she remained in the home.

Megan wasn’t an idiot to miss the stress he was putting on her giving away the baby; she wondered what sort of doctor, he was for doing that.

The young nurse looked at the brunette wide-eyed after she had heard Megan’s name, she blinked staring surprised to see Megan Martinez in a place like this.

“Aren’t you dating Sergio Ramos?” the nurse blurted out surprised, she didn’t think that Megan would have ended up in a place like this; she had thought that Sergio would have been thrilled to become a father.

The doctor glare at her to be silent while Megan nodded softly, knowing that it pointless to deny it; she was Sergio’s girlfriend and she knew that no one could change that.

"Then why are you here?” the nurse asked surprised still ignoring the doctor who cleared this throat as he tried to gain order; Megan smiled sadly at her wondering why someone so nice was working in a place like this.

“Trust me… I’m not here by choice,” Megan replied bitterly at the thought of her father, she would never forgive him for doing this to her and she would cut him out of her life completely when she was out of here with her baby.

The nurse looked at her sadly as she realised what Megan meant, she couldn't believe that someone would send their daughter away to a place like this; she only worked here herself because she needed the experience.

“Let’s get this scan underway shall we,” the doctor said making the nurse offered Megan a smile before the doctor began the check-up; Megan frowned she couldn't see the image of her healthy baby.

They refused to let her see anything about her baby, Megan was seven weeks pregnant now and they kept a lot of information from her.

“Okay the embryo is about 2.5cm long… looks healthy, anybody would be lucky to have a child like this if things continue go well,” the doctor said making Megan glare at him; she wished that she could see her baby for herself but it was against the rules.

The nurse jotted down some notes before the doctor stood and left the room to speak with matron, she peeked at Megan feeling bad for her; she wished to help but she didn’t know how.

“Does he know you’re here?” the nurse asked softly as Megan wiped the gel off her stomach; biting her lip Megan shook her head as she thought about Sergio, she fought back tears making the nurse hug her.

“If you want I’ll try and let him know,” the nurse offered quietly in case anyone was listening, Megan looked at her and nodded; apart from Erica, this nurse was the nicest person she had met while she had been here.

The nurse quickly pulled away from Megan as the matron walked into the room followed by the doctor, she pursed her lips as she looked at Megan before turning to the nurse and dismissing her.

“Miss Martinez… I think it’s time you started to be realistic, you’re not ready to be a Madre and this child would benefit with being given to a couple who will be,” matron said sickly sweet, she forced a smile as she looked at the young woman before her; she knew best for women like her.

Megan shook her head in disagreement as she glared at Matron, she had heard this speech a lot since she was brought her two weeks ago; she hadn’t believe it now and she didn't believe it now.

“No offense… but I don’t care what you think, I am more than ready to have this baby and there is nothing you can say that will make me give this child up,” Megan hissed furious at how she was being treated, she wanted nothing more than to escape this hell-hole.

Megan didn’t understand how places like this was still open and she knew that once she got out that she would expose places like this.

Matron looked at her shocked before she schooled her expression, pursing her lips again she nodded stiffly then she turned to the door allowing to men dressed in scrubs inside.

“We shall be the judge of that Miss Martinez…” Matron said then she walked out of the room leaving Megan alone with the two men; she had no idea what was going to happen now.

Megan looked between the two men, they each took one of her arms each and dragged her out of the room to solitary confinement.
