It took another week before Sergio was allowed to come and collect Megan, he had been so relieved when he had been told to come and get his girlfriend to take her home.
Sergio felt a little sick at how everything was playing out, it wasn't like he was collecting a person; it was more like he was picking Odi or Lou up from the vets.
Sitting back in his chair, Sergio stared at the man across from him as he checked over all of the paperwork for a final time.
Sergio wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible, he wanted to take Megan to a doctor to have her checked over as soon as they were away from this place.
Sergio bounced his knee as he stared at the man before him, he didn't know what was taking so long but he hoped that they would be able to leave soon; he crossed his arms as his wait continued.
"Everything seems to be in order," Mr Fernandez said looking over the paperwork, he was the older of the establishment and was the final person that need to sign off on Megan's release.
Sergio nodded his head, he peeked at the clock and held back a curse; he'd been here for over an hour and he was starting to get annoyed.
Sergio had to play by their rules if he wanted to take Megan home, he was going to expose all of this when his girlfriend was safely at him; no one was ever going to take her away from him again.
"It's a shame really... we had a wonderful rich couple who wished to by the baby," Mr Fernandez said trying to tempt Sergio into leaving without his girlfriend and unborn child.
Sergio glared at him, he didn't like what they did and he couldn't believe that more people didn't know about what happened in these places; he wasn't going to sell his unborn child to another couple.
"Okay then... I'll call Matron Williams and she'll take you to Miss Martinez," Mr Fernandez said looking away from the dark look that Sergio shot him; he didn't see the harm in trying to keep the baby.
Sergio nodded his head, he took a deep his breath to calm himself and watched as Mr Fernandez moved to call the matron; he was so close to leaving that he wasn't going to mess this up.
Sergio couldn't help but wonder how Megan was, no one would tell him anything about his girlfriend and the baby; Megan would be about twelve weeks pregnant and it had been weeks since he had last seen her and he was truly worried.
Sergio looked up as Matron Williams stepped into the room, he felt his stomach roll as he recalled what Louisa had told him about her; he had never hit a woman in his life but he wished to hurt this one.
"Follow me Mr Ramos," Matron said signalling to Sergio, she couldn't believe that she hadn't gotten to break Megan; she was sure that this wasn't over just yet.

Megan didn't know how long she had been locked in the dark solitary confinement room, there were no windows and no light; she had wondered when she had entered the prison, instead of a home for unwed mothers.
Sitting in one of the damp corners, Megan stared in the direction of the door with her back against the wall; she knew it was there because of the slither of light that crept under the door and into her prison.
Of course they fed her, Megan was being deprived of sunlight and human company but they wanted her baby healthy; Megan wondered whether anyone outside of St. Paul's knew that this was how woman were treated.
Closing her eyes, she listened to the ticking of a clock outside of the room; she counted 236 ticks before she heard someone approaching her room.
Megan's eyes closed tight as they opened the door to her room allowing light to enter for the first time in days; she swallowed shielding her eyes as the door slammed against the wall.
"She's all yours," Matron said making Megan whimpered softly, she didn't know who the woman was talking to but she feared for her baby; she hated to think that they would do something to her.
It was the voice she heard next that made her heart skip a beat, Megan wonder if she had lost her mind while she had been trapped in her dark room.
"Gracias," said the voice before the person walked towards Megan, she kept her eyes closed as she listened to what was happening; her ears easily picking up on the click of Matron's heels as she walked away leaving the pair alone.
"Mi amor..." the voice said softly before pulling Megan into a hug, she clung to him keeping her eyes closed not believing what was happening.
"You aren't real," Megan whispered shaking her head, she didn't believe that Sergio was here with her; she was never going to see him again.
Sergio chuckled brushing his fingers through her greasy hair, he wanted to get her home as quickly as possible; she was filthy and he was sure that there were things wrong.
Sergio held her close before he carefully pulled off his jacket and wrapped it around Megan; she was freezing and the room that she had been kept in was clearly below health and safety levels.
"Look at me Megan," Sergio said softly but Megan shook her head, she didn't want this dream to end; even if it did mean that she was crazy now, it didn't matter to her as long as she could imagine him.
Sergio held her close, they truly didn't have time for this but he knew that the moment that she realised that he was real the better.
"Mi amor," Sergio whispered softly making her shake her head again as tears started to fall; Megan couldn't help but wonder how cruel the world was to do this to her.
"I don't know what I'll do if I open my eyes and you aren't real," Megan said softly, she so badly wanted this to be real; she wanted Sergio to rescue her and being trapped in solitary confinement had finally made her lose her mind.
Megan knew they wouldn't let her keep the baby if there was something wrong for her, she had tried to be strong but it hadn't work; she was so alone and she wanted her boyfriend.
Glancing over his shoulder, Sergio knew that the guards would be back soon and if they saw her like this... he didn't want to think about what they would do; he knew they would try to make him leave her behind.
"Mi amor... look at me," Sergio begged her one last time, he needed to get her out of her, it worried him a little that she had high blood pressure after what had happened to her; Megan hesitated for a moment before she slowly opened her eyes.
Megan stared shocked that Sergio was before her, he looked exhausted and she could see the worry that he had for her; she couldn't stop herself from bursting into tears as she realised that he was really with her.
"I'm here mi amor... and I'm never leaving you alone again," Sergio said pressing his lips to Megan's, he wrapped his arms around her to bring her close; it was a lot to take in but he finally had her in his arms after weeks of being apart.
Sergio smiled a little as Megan clung to him, he could feel her small bump and he hoped that their baby was okay; he had a been feeling that they might have done something to her and baby.
"I love you Megan," Sergio promised her quietly as she closed her eyes, she couldn't stop crying as she realised that all of this was over; she was finally going home.
