Megan frowned slowly waking up, she didn’t know what it was but something didn’t feel right, she felt off and she didn’t like it.

Megan blinked the blurriness from her eyes, she closed her eyes feeling slightly dizzy however she shook her head dismissing the feeling before she climbed out of bed.

Megan slowly dressed for the day, her mind trying to figure out what was going on; she didn’t like the feeling that she had especially since Sergio wasn’t home.

Sergio had gone to training that morning since the new season was due to start soon, friendlies had gone so well for the team and Sergio was enjoying the time he had before the season started.

Megan headed downstairs, she felt a little sick and she was sure it was just a bout of late morning sickness; she just hoped that it would go away.

Megan chewed on her lip wandering into the kitchen, she smiled a little as she moved to get some crackers to eat; she stopped walking as she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower belly.

Megan gasped grabbing the counter with her right hand as she gritted teeth in pain, she dropped her left hand to her stomach wondering what was going on.

Megan closed her eyes as she felt something wet, she took a deep breath as she slowly opened her brown eyes and stared down at her left hand as she lifted it to her face.

Megan stared at the crimson liquid that covered her hand, she had been warned by the doctor that this could happen; she’d been through a stressful period and she was a high risk case because of all the stress that she had suffered.

Megan’s hand shook as she realised that she was in the process of miscarrying, a part of her wanting her to break down now at the sight of the blood.

Biting her lip, Megan couldn’t shake an un-nerving feeling that fell upon her as she picked up her phone and called Mirian; she needed to get to a hospital in case there was a chance to save her baby.

“Hola Megan,” Mirian said answering making Megan sigh in relief, she was happy to hear a familiar voice; she knew that this wasn’t going to be easy but she was hopeful that Mirian would help her.

“Mirian… I’m bleeding,” Megan said softly gripping the side of the counter as a sharp pain ran through her; Mirian gasped before she cursed, she recalled what her brother had said and they had to act quickly because Megan was at risk.

“I’m on my way,” Mirian said before she hung up, if what Mirian thought was happening was happening then Megan was in trouble; she needed to be seen by a doctor right away.

Megan stood quietly as she tried to not think about losing her baby, if she panicked then it was only going to make things worse; she needed Sergio and she knew that he wouldn’t have his phone on him.

Megan slowly started to cry as she realised that if she lost her baby then all of this was for nothing, she’d never be able to forgive herself.

Megan sat in a hospital bed waiting for her midwife to come and check her over, she had a machine attached to her belly checking her baby.

Mirian was trying to get a hold of Sergio since he needed to be here and Megan was sure that she had heard Mirian swearing at someone before; she doubted that Mourinho was going to let Sergio leave no matter what was going on.

Megan leant back in her bed, she didn’t like the fact that the nurses were whispering about her; she knew that it wouldn’t be long before this was all over the news.

Megan tried to relax and take her mind off what was happening but she couldn’t, she sighed and looked at Mirian as she slipped back into the private room where Megan was.
