What would you do if life made you choose between 'Success' and 'Love'?
Fate is a born devil. I wonder who are those lucky people who get to be with the 'Love of their Life' forever?
What happens when one chooses 'success' and the other one 'love'...
Everyone was leaving the conference room in delight. The hallway was filled with laughter and whispers. The moment they were desperately waiting for was here. It was all a happy chaos and the members couldn't hold back their excitement.
Suga got called back to the conference room. BangPD was sitting on the chair scanning the contracts.
"What is it Yoongi?" BangPD asked with concern. "You are the only one who hasn't signed the contract."
"Give me a few days, Sir!" he said in respect. "I have to talk to my family about this." Yoongi knew it was a blatant lie.
"Ok, Five days. I am giving you five days to decide," BangPD said in a little-frustrated tone as he left the conference room.
While everyone left the dorm for celebration, Yoongi sat alone on his bed not knowing what to do next. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of his life. Why wasn't he feeling it?
"Yoongi," Jin called as he entered the room to collect his jacket. "Aren't you joining us?"
"You all go ahead. I need some time for myself." Yoongi responded without even looking at Jin.
"Ummm... Yoongi," There was a slight hesitation in Jin's voice "What are you going to do about your girlfriend?"
Yoongi looked at him in shock. His heart skipped a beat as he stared back at Jin in horror.
"Wh-- What do you mean?" Yoongi stammered.
"I know it. I know it all Yoongi. I had seen you sneaking out the dorm at late nights and talking on the phone for hours. Your face had 'girlfriend' written all over it. I just never said anything about it. I am sorry. But don't you worry. I obviously haven't told anyone. The thing is I...I got worried about what happened in the conference room today. So I came to check up on you. I know she means a lot to you. I get it. The fact that who you didn't sign the contract on the spot like rest of us.
Jin paused for a few minutes to get a response from Yoongi, but as he got nothing he continued.
"What are you going to do about this situation, Yoongi? You can trust me, I hope you know that. Maybe I can be of some help."
Trusting someone was not Yoongi's forte. He was never the one to let people in so easy.
But Jin was different. Yoongi genuinely liked him. He had a soft heart which made Yoongi feel at home. He had the personality to ease people in unlike Yoongi who pushed people away. There was this pleasant-soothing-comfort like something he felt around Jin.
Yoongi decided to give in. He needed someone to talk to anyways. Someone with whom he was comfortable. Just sharing this burden a little would ease him a bit. So he made up his mind to trust Jin with this. He desperately needed a friend right now.
"What are you going to do, Yoongi? You need to make a decision." Jin asked again with a lot of concern in his voice.
"I don't know Jin! I really don't know what to do. If only I knew before, that a contract like this exists, I would have never come here." Yoongi spoke being all flustered.
Jin sat beside him patting his back and slowly keeping his hand on his shoulder.
"I think she will understand, Yoongi," Jin said in a soft tone.
"I know Jin! I know she will, with no second thoughts. For me. But I am the one who is not okay with this. She is not someone I can let go." Yoongi's voice shriveled as he spoke.
"How can I choose? She is everything to me. I can't choose! I won't choose!"
