I felt limp, like my body was trying to conserve what little oxygen it had left. The last thing I heard was a dull thud and Hakyeon screaming "YAH! MI CHYEO SSEO! SHE'S OUR PA! YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER!!!"
I don't know how long it was until I regained consciousness. I could feel something cool against my forehead. My hand went up to it. It felt smooth but rough at the same time. My eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the scene. I could hear faint voices in the background. There were 5... no 6 different voices. I recognised the VIXX members voices that I had heard earlier today. They were talking or shouting rather. But... there was another voice... a voice I wished that I could ignore. One that I could block out voluntarily. It shouted back. I could only hear muffled shouting. I looked around, with what little light I had to illuminate the room. I was on a futon of some type; a blanket had been draped over me. I could see the outline of a cup and a bowl filled with water next to the makeshift bed. I turned my body slightly and put my hand towards it. Bringing it to my parched lips, I gulped it down. The feeling of the cool water traveling down my throat and neck as it quenched my thirst; it felt so good.
It suddenly went deathly quiet. I heard a door slam with a bang, then the shuffling of feet. Another door closed, this time gentler. It sounded like whoever it was outside, they were leaving for now. There was no sign of anyone at home. I gently sat up with what strength I had left in me and was getting ready to check when the door swung open.
Hyuk and Hongbin rushed to my side and slowly lay me back down. Hongbin took the flannel that had fallen on the side of the bed and soaked in the bowl. I hadn't noticed it there. Rinsing it of any excess water, he placed the now newly cooled cloth on my forehead.
"You should rest for a while," Hongbin muttered.
"What happened? I feel like a tonne of bricks collapsed on top of me," I asked, sounding hoarse.
They both took a brief look at each other, then answered. "Leo hyung thought you were a stranger. He didn't realise that our assigned PA was supposed to start today. We apologise on his behalf," Hyuk stated as he did a 90º bow. Hongbin followed suit. I proceeded to sit up again and Hongbin refilled the cup with water and offered it to me. I took a gulp and placed it down on the tray. Hongbin looked worried. He gently brushed my hair to one side to look at my neck, being as gentle as he possibly could.
"Is everything ok? What's wrong Hongbinsshi?" I questioned as I took another sip of water, anxious to find out what had happened to my neck that made him so nervous.
"Nothing, don't worry. Hyuk-ah come outside. I need to talk to you about something," Hongbin directed to Hyuk.
"De hyung." Hyuk acknowledged. He looked back at me while on his way out. "We'll be right back Honey. You rest for now, ok? We'll be back soon."
