Hidden: Strings of Fate

CHAPTER 22

I heard voices. I couldn't make sense of what they were saying but they sounded familiar... Like I had heard them before. I slowly sat up and opened my eyes. I rubbed them to ward away the sleepiness that was still left. It took a few minutes for my vision to clear but I saw them. Wonshik. Hakyeon. Jaehwan. Hyuk. Hongbin. All staring at me, with a smirk on their face. I was puzzled... I dismissed it by shaking my head side to side and then headed towards the bathroom. I needed to freshen up and I was not in the mood for one of their practical jokes. I was still tired from the jet lag of the day before.

After I was done in the bathroom, I opened the door and out popped Jaehwan from nowhere. I screamed and hurled backwards in fright and ended up upside down in the bathtub. I just lay there, my legs erected in the air, my hands sprawled like they weren't my own and my head against the bottom of the tub. In some way, it felt as though I was being supported by the tub whilst doing a handstand.

Jaehwan peered through the space in between my legs. "Are.... you.... OK...?" He asked with brief pauses in between them. I rolled my eyes. I extended my hands out and asked him innocently "help me up," while battering my eyelashes.

He was scared. I could tell. Scared of the fact that I wasn't showing any reaction as to his sudden surprise attack. He helped me up and I walked out of the bathroom.

I saw the other 4 members look at me as if they were confused about the event that had just taken place. I took my place back on the sofa, acting as though nothing had happened.

"What's wrong?" I said as I looked towards them.

"Nothing," they all chorused.

I lifted an eyebrow to show my confusion. "O..... K....?" I replied. Did they want me to show how furious I was with Jaehwan or did they want me to react as though everything was normal? I shrugged my shoulders. Over thinking something as little as this will give me more of a headache than I need now. I lied back into the same position that I was in when I woke up. The pillow moved then and adjusted its position so that it felt more comfortable. It was only then, I realised why they were so shocked. I was leaning on...
