I armed myself with a rolling pin. I wasn't going to let him come into my house, my property that easily. I went back into the room. As soon as he saw me with my weapon, he jumped out of my bed.
"What are you doing here? How did you find me?" I inquired.
"Honey, what are you doing?! Do you know how ridiculous you look?" He said, with a smile on his face.
"Answer my question. How did you know I was here? Who told you?!" I cried, hysterically, ready to swing my rolling pin.
"Honey, calm down. I'll answer all your questions. Ok? Just... calm down first." He said in a soothing voice.
I took a giant deep breathe to calm myself down. I was nervous, anxious. I hadn't seen him in over two years. And yet he was here... now... right in front of me.
"Put a shirt on or something before I beat your ass for soiling my innocent eyes."
"Surprisingly, you and the word innocent don't really go together" I shot his a death glare. I swear down if I had daggers come out my eyes, he'd be dead now.
"What are you doing here anyway? How did you find me? I told no-one I was coming here." I eyed him suspiciously, accidentally dropping the pin to the floor. Picking up the dropped pin, I headed to kitchen to put it away.
"I thought you'd miss me so I came to surprise you," he said, calmly while following me.
"Sorry, but erm... why would I miss you?" I told him, using the pin to point at him. He creeped forward until the pin hit his still bare chest.
"I seem to remember a 4 year old you never leaving my side like a love sick puppy?"
"THAT... was 12 years ago. I'm not the same person I was then. And besides we were in RECEPTION. It doesn't count. Anyway enough of the past, when did you arrive?"
"Last night. I didn't know where you were, so I called up Min to ask her. She gave me this address. And before you ask, I brought an open-ended ticket. I can leave whenever."
"Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable," I threw my arms up in defeat. "You mean to say... that you LEFT... your DAD... alone at CHRISTMAS... just so you could come travelling to South Korea? Who does that? Why did you even come here? You should have stayed in England."
He pressed his mouth into a thin line. "I had something to take care of over here. Besides dad's at yours this year. He'll be fine." He leant his back against the counter and folded his arms. I looked at him annoyed. He gave me his cheekiest smile, popping out his dimples.
I turned away from him and walked towards the laundry room. I took a deep breath and gave out the biggest sigh I could. I started loading up the washing machine. It's going to be a looong night.
"Do you have somewhere to stay at least?"
"I was thinking about staying here with you. Would that be a problem?"
"It's not my apartment. It's Min's. You'll have to ask her." Praying that Min would say no. Which reminds me I'll have to get to her before he does...
