CHAPTER 40

I went out and stayed out for most of the day. When I saw that night had fallen, I started to head back to my apartment block. 'I'll just go and check on VIXX and see if they need anything for tomorrow.'

I had reached VIXX's apartment soon and let myself in after typing on the password. There was no-one at home. Are they still out? Usually Wonshik or Hongbin stay at home but there was no living soul here. I pondered where the boys could have gotten to. Did something come up that I was unaware of? I checked my phone. No emergency messages. I wonder where they had got to. Its very unlike them to disappear. I stood there scratching my head then proceeded to call them up one by one. First Hakyeon, then Jaehwan, Wonshik, Hyuk, Hongbin and finally, Leo. All of them went straight to voicemail. I kept asking myself 'where could they have gone?'

I called up Min.

RING RING!! went the phone.

"Yeoboseyo," Min greeted.

"Yeoboseyo, Min-ah. Do you know where the boys are? Have they come to the studio at all? I seem to have lost them."

"You lost them?!!! HOLD ON! HOW ON EARTH DID YOU MANAGE TO LOSE 6 GIANTS?!!"

"I fell asleep in our apartment after cleaning up from last night's mess. Thanks for telling Jun Gi where I live by the way. Anyway, I came here and found no trace of them. I've checked their whole apartment; I've rang all of them up and all of their phones go to voicemail."

"Aiiish, geogjeong mal-a. Naneun jigeum geudeul-eul bol geos-ida."

"Min, don't tell me not to worry. If anything happens to them then it's on my head so, please look for them ppalli."

"I will. Geogjeong mal-a."

A FEW MINUTES LATER

"They're not here at the company or studio, Honey-ah."

"Oh ok. Gomawo for looking though. I'll keep looking for them. And see if they're back from wherever they went yet or not."

"No problem. Do you need me to help you to search for them or can you manage?"

"No, I think I'll be fine. Get back to whatever it was you were doing and I'll see you later on."

"Ok, then. Take care."

"You too."

I was just about to hang up the phone then I remember the task I set myself earlier on.

"Oh! Before I forget... Min!" I said, urgently.

"Yeah? What's up?" She asked.

"If Jun Gi asks you something to do with the apartment, please say no. I beg you." She cut the phone line. 'Aish!'

I couldn't think of where else to look for them, so I started to go back down to my own dorm room after locking up theirs. As soon as I got down to my floor and started towards my dorm, I could hear shouts and screams of pain.

I rushed towards the door and fumbled to put my keys in. Of all the times to drop my key, it had to happen now. I rushed to pick them up and slotted in the right key this time. The door clicked. The shouting ceased. I opened the door carefully not knowing what to expect on the other side...
