CHAPTER 42

Jaehwan lifted me up and I managed to get the crisps packet. He gently put me back down on the floor and I turned around to give him the packet. He started to take the packet out of my hand. He looked up and our eyes connected. The earth was still. I could hear my heart beating fast.

His eyes were so capturing. They looked like pools of water, glistening and so tempting. Jaehwan moved closer to close the gap between us. Not that there was a gap between us to begin with. He tipped his head to one side while still maintaining eye contact and brought his face closer. He took a quick glance at my lips. Neither of us said anything. We basked in the silence. He was so close. If I moved 1 cm then our lips would have connected. I could feel his steady breath on my philtrum.

"Ahem!" I heard someone clear their throat. Jaehwan moved backwards to his original postion. We both looked at the person who dared to invade this moment. "Is the food ready? Baegopa!!!" Wonshik whined.

I laughed."De oppa, food's ready. Will you tell the rest of the members to leave Jun Gi alone and come sit at the table, please?"

I looked at Jaehwan. His gaze was avoiding my look. He almost looked guilty. "Daehwanie oppa..." I said, in the cutest voice I could.

He put on a smile and replied back with a cuter voice, "deeee?"

"Will you put out the dishes and utensils on the table for me?" I asked.

"De, our cute magnae manager." We both laughed at that. I started to get some side dishes in bowls. Min's grandma made the best spinach kimchi. I tried to learn from her but it never tasted the same. I got kongnamul muchim, sigeumchi namul, watercress namul, mu saengchae, putbaechu doenjang muchim and kkaennip jjim out. That should be enough shouldn't it?

As I put the last bowl down on the table, I took my place near Hyuk and Jun Gi. "Dig in," I said to the hungry boys, smiling.

"Jal meokgesseumnida!" Everyone chorused.

"I mas-iss-eo," I heard from Hyuk.

"Gomawo Hyogi," I gave him a slight bow of gratitude.

"So who is he?" Leo asked, putting another spoonful of rice in his mouth.

"Who? This thief...?" I asked, pointing to the free loader who was currently in the process of attempting to steal my food. I hit his hand with the back of my spoon. He pouted and whined. He had a mouthful of rice so it looked almost comical.

"I'm not a thief!!" Jun Gi protested.

"Says the guy who just tried to steal food from my bowl. He's my ex... best friend from when I was in England."

"Ex best friend?" Hyuk inquired.

"De. Something happened between us. Something really unfortunate." I admitted.

"Come on Honey!" Jun Gi put his spoon down and turned his whole body towards me. "Don't you think you're over reacting here? It was nothing!"

"Oh sure! It was nothiiiing. You think this this is over reacting? You think that I don't have a right to be hurt, feel betrayed and feel like I'm not good enough for anyone ESPECIALLY considering the fact that I found out and saw my EX BOYFRIEND, your BROTHER, might I add..." my voice had began to raise. I started to get teary.

"Honey!"

The door interrupted me. Everyone's attention turned towards the presence now standing near the door. A tear fell. I used this distraction to my advantage and wiped my cheek before anyone saw.

"You found them...?!" she said while panting.

I took a deep breath to calm my self "Yes, they were in our apartment..." I told her.

"Speaking of your apartment..." Jun Gi started.

"Anyway, never mind that." She cut him off. Yes! Thank you Min! "Samchon wants to see you as soon as possible. He told me to tell you to go to his office to meet him," she continued.

"What for?" I asked Min. I was confused as I had never been called to the office before.

"I actually have no idea," Min replied.

"Do you want me to come with you," asked Jun Gi.

"No thanks. I'm perfectly fine going by myself. I don't NEED your help." I spat. I got up to grab my coat and phone.

"Are you sure? I could..." Min cut him off.
"Jun Gi. I think it'd be best if you just stay here while Honey sort this out."

"If you want, we'll go with you," Jaehwan suggested.

"No, it's ok oppa. I'll go by myself. I wouldn't want you guys to get it trouble too. I'll get going then." I said putting on my coat. "Min help yourself to food, I'll be right back."

I opened the apartment door and walked towards the lift. That's when I saw that Leo was walking behind me.
