I whimpered as soon as I fell into his chest. My tears began to fall knowing that I was safe; that I was protected in his embrace. I knew that he wouldn't hurt me.
"Honey... What's wrong? Why are your clothes torn?! Who is he? Why is he in your room? Are you OK?" He spoke, as he caressed my arms. He sounded concerned. He started to wipe my cheeks, clearing them of any stray tears.
"Leave her alone. She doesn't need your kind." My assaulter spat. I saw red. I felt my anger starting to overwhelm my other emotions of fear and anxiety. How dare he speak to him like that?! He had no right!
"And j-j-just w-w-what is his k-kind?" I stuttered, resonating a new sense of confidence. I stood in front of Leo, guarding him from the predator that had begun it's hunt. I may not like his attitude and think he's an immature brat but that doesn't mean I won't protect him and stand up for him. I'm not that low of a person.
"You know exactly what I mean, Honey. Those who act like they're the good guy, who put on an act that they care, that they're considerate, that they actually give a damn about you..." he narrowed his eyes as he edged towards us. Leo moved forward ready to intervene if necessary. I lay my hands on his wrists and turned sideways a little to look at him. Our eyes met halfway. I shook my head slightly, telling him not to waste his energy. I was willing my thoughts to be communicated to him. I need him to calm down and know that it's best if I handle this messy situation that we're in.
His hands were almost near my arm. I looked at his face with burning rage in my eyes. It was now or never. I needed to be rid of scum like him permanently. I rose my hand and smacked his face as hard I could with all the pent up frustrations, anger and betrayal that I had left.
His face started to go scarlet red from the impact. "Get out. Now! I've heard enough of your rubbish. I have a feeling if you stay here any longer, you'll be getting more of an opportunity to start spouting even more nonsense." I spouted, through gritted teeth. My hand was pointing towards the door.
"Honey, don't you see?!! Are you blind?! He's just using you! After he's played with he'll throw you away like you're nothing to him. You deserve better than him." My assaulter cried.
"You think I deserve someone like you then? You say that he's just using me? What did you do then? I think that you need to take a step back and re-evaluate some of your life choices. You did exactly what you're describing! Why can't you get it through that thick head of yours?! It's over! We're over! We've been over for a long time. What happens in my life is none of your concern. You have no right barging into my life after what you did. If I EVER see you again, I'll castrate you AND feed it to the neighbourhood dogs! OR BETTER YET I'LL PUT THEM THROUGH THE MINCER AND FEED THEM TO YOU MYSELF!! Now... Get OUT of my room AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY LIFE!!!" I blew out in fury. I didn't care if the whole hotel had heard me spit these words out. They needed to be said whether he didn't want to listen to it or not. He needed to come out of this deluded fantasy of his. I could see him taking heavy breaths. He stood there, pondering.
"GET OUT! IF I HAVE TO COUNT TO 3 , I SWEAR TO GOD..." I didn't have to finish my sentence. He understood. He knew me well enough to know that if I made a threat, I'd stick to it till the day my bones dried out. He strode out of my room with his hand balled up in fists and head down...
End of flashback.
