As I left the CEO's office, I noticed Jun Gi and Min were sat outside waiting. Jun Gi had his head in his arms, Min had her hand on his back comforting him. I closed the door shut and walked over to them. Min looked up and I smiled at her.
"Well...?" Min probed.
"It was nothing to worry about. Geogjeong mal-a. What are you guys doing here? I thought you were still at the apartment...? "
"We were worried," Jun Gi declared.
"Oh... ok...?" My eyes fell on his face. He looked like he had been having sleepless night. He had eye bags that looked as though they had gotten darker over time. His eyes were bloodshot. His hair was a mess. He had a shoe on but I had no idea where the other one was. He got up and approached me. Resting his hands softly on my arms, he asked "are you sure it was nothing?" I stiffened at his sudden touch. Why was I like this? Why did my heart begin to beat fast every time I saw him? Why did he have this effect on me?
"Yes, I'm sure." I shoved his hands off me. "What are you doing here anyway? I don't need your presence here." I sneered.
"I was worried." Looking at him with a dead pan look, I scoffed in disbelief. Min stood up, ready to stop us.
"What?! I'm not allowed to be worried about you? I'm not supposed to care for you? Is that it? I just have to..." his voice began getting louder, tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
"You lost that right 2 years ago." I snapped. I saw VIXX walking, or rather jogging towards us. They couldn't see us like this. Raising a hand, I pointed towards the toilets. "Go and wash your face with cold water and calm yourself down before VIXX get here." Jun Gi turned towards where I was staring. He followed my orders and managed to enter the toilets before VIXX saw him.
"A-hem," Min cleared her throat. "Erm, shall we go somewhere to eat seeing as we're all here?" She suggested.
"I don't know about all of you but I just feel like going home. If you want to, then you all can go eat but I'm going to go home," I replied.
"Are you sure?" Hakyeon pressed.
"Do you want us to..." Leo started.
"Come with you?" Jaehwan and Wonshik interjected.
"Oh come on Honey!! It's the last day of 2013!! Why don't you live a little? Tell you what, we'll go to that new Italian restaurant. What's it called? Erm..." Min scratched her head trying to think of the name.
"Italian Chaos?" I suggested.
"Yeah! That's the place! What do you say?" She replied, enthusiastically.
I thought about it. It had been a long time since I had been out. Especially considering it's New Year's Eve. Maybe I should be spontaneous for once in my life. It couldn't hurt. Plus I believed in this silly old tradition, which stated that whatever you do on New Year's Eve, you'd be doing for the rest of the year so..
"Sure, whatever... Let's go then," I replied, begrudgingly. Jun Gi walked back to join us. To be honest, he looked better now. His eyes weren't as red and his hair was neat. It hurt having to be so cold to him. But I can't help it. It's like there's this little voice in my head that keeps reminding me of that incident that made me leave England two years ago. He knew. He knew what his brother was doing but he didn't stop him. I think that's what hurt me the most. The fact that the best friend that I trusted within all my heart stabbed me in the back because he wanted to protect his family. I felt cheated and betrayed. He peered at me. I caught his eye. I looked away. I couldn't look him in the eye. I just couldn't.
Min linked arms with him. He looked at her gently. "Jun Gi!" She smiled at him. He gave a faint smile back. "We're going to Italian Chaos. Do you want to come?" She cocked her head to one side.
