Lisa
She's lying.
It's for our safety, that was just it.
She didn't mean a thing.
"Lisa?" Chaeng barges inside. Smiling softly, I leaned back, "Were you looking for me?"
She nods, assessing me.
"Are you okay?" She interrogates.
"Yes, I just need to change. Can you step out for a bit?" I was sure the politeness in my voice made it obvious that there was something wrong.
But I should have known better.
This was Chaeng, and Chaeng is completely oblivious.
"Oh well okay," she shrugs, giving me the space I needed.
Sighing, I strip from my uncomfortable outfit and instead wore my casual clothes as it hugged me just right.
Combing my hair, I tied it into a bun and covered my head with a cap.
"You done?" Chaeng bellows.
Staring at the mirror, I practiced a smile.
That was just a farce to fool her parents. It's not true Lisa, I told myself as I stared directly into my wavering eyes.
Taking deep breaths, I clenched my hand tightly; knuckles turning white.
Jennie wouldn't lie to me like that.
"Hey where are the others?" I asked Chaeng whilst stepping out.
She smiles, "Jisoo and Jennie unnie are waiting for us inside the van, we're heading back to the hotel and celebrating there."
Nodding, I followed her closely. Saying goodbye to the others who were busy cleaning up.
My eyes went immediately to Jennie who waved at us to come quickly.
It's alright, she loves me.
There's no need to doubt.
Grinning, I ran to the van, beating Chaeng to it and as per usual, the two of us got to the back while Jennie sits beside her cousin.
"Baby, what took you so long?" Jennie glances at me after staring at her phone.
Do I need to ask her about their talk with her parents? Maybe in that way I could pacify the growing anxiety.
"Lisa?" She gives me all of her attention when I didn't answer her question.
She wouldn't like it when I'm eavesdropping.
I'm sure it was nothing.
"Sorry I was just sleepy," I lied.
Jisoo unnie sneers, "Lisa? Sleeping? Who are you and what did you do to Lisa?"
Chaeng laughs, mocking me too.
Did this girl really like me? Aish.
Throwing a neck pillow at Jisoo unnie, I hit her square on the face. Retaliating, she throws the pillow right at me but Jennie catches it, shooting us a warning to stop it.
Chaeng giggles, patting Jisoo unnie's head to pacify her.
When had they been this close?
Raising my brow, Jisoo unnie frowns at me, "Mind your own business," she says with ears flushed as if I was even in the mood to put malice in the gesture. Jennie leans forward, an odd smile on her face as she directs the request to Chaeng.
