"I don't really want to go," I whine childishly as I refuse to stand up from my seat.

The makeup artist was having a hard time as I kept on moving.

"Manobal won't you sit tight for a second?" Jisoo scolds me.

It's Manoban, I mentally corrected.

Yet of course, she would tease me about it, like she had always done.

Sticking my tongue out to annoy her.

However, I did what I was told to not cause trouble for the woman in front of me.

"Sorry," I smile at her.

She giggles and nods my way, finishing my natural look.

I glance at Jennie and my smile falters.

Feeling the constant sting of my heart, I look away from her.  Afraid that if I stared a little longer, my heart would stop beating on its own.

Everyone had their own kinds of demons.

I don't think mine would ever leave.

It slowly crept and had constantly mocked me whenever I wanted to patch things up with Jennie

Honestly, we don't know where to begin.

Jisoo says we should start in our roots.

Yet it takes too much effort.

Something I am unable to give anymore.

"You're good to go," the woman wakes me from spacing out.

Thanking her, I stand up and sat beside Chaeng who was just as stooped as I am.

"Want to escape the meeting?"

She turns to me, grimacing at the question. Jisoo intervenes before Chaeng could answer me with a 'yes'.

"Don't even try, all of us need to be there."

But we knew, none wanted to go.

This was inevitable though.

I secretly watched Jennie as she fidgeted with her clothes on the mirror.

"Let's go first, Chaeng," I offered my hand to her and she gladly took it.

Jisoo rolled her eyes, "Don't try to escape or they'll chew our heads off."

Winking at her, "I'm mature enough."

"Yeah right, mature," she sarcastically notioned.

Laughing, I slowed my pace as soon as we were out of their sight.

"I can't bear to know what the others would say after the press conference," Chaeng mumbles, her grip on my hand tightens.

Glancing at her, I gave a reassuring squeeze.

"At least we're facing it as a group."

"I guess so," she uttered unconvincingly.

Tucking my free hand in my coat pocket, an object startled me as I take it out and examine it for myself.

"Is this Jennie's?" I asked Chaeng who had her attention on the shades.

"Yeah, they must've gotten the coats wrong," Chaeng replied lightly, her eyes watching my every move for any sign of reaction she could get from me.

To this day, she still doesn't know how to hide her intentions.

Smiling nonchalantly, I return it back to my pocket.
