I walked up behind a girl who had just come from the room I believed was Shadow's room.

"Stestial?" She quickly turned to see me and her jaw dropped. Mikal was still hiding after the fight we had with Shadow. After she had left the soul realm I needed to blow off some steam so I took over Mikal. I had went and fought a couple dozen people who thought they could beat me. I didn't kill them or hurt them but I did need to beat them.

"Hello Mikal." She said and I almost yelled at her. Why do people always say Mikal instead of Matsu? Whatever.

I'll just play along, "Hi, is Shadow okay." She practically threw herself at me. She started crying and telling me how bad she was. Had I been that bad to force her not to let others know that she was my daughter? She tried to explain who I was but I couldn't let her. If I did then I would have to suffer the consequences.

"Hey, breathe and calm down." I said as I rubbed her back that's when I noticed my mother walk threw the doors. I look like Mikal so she couldn't know it was me.

She walked over and I turned Stestial over to her. She sat down and Stestial laid across some benches and put her head on her lap. My mother made soothing noises and a few seconds later Stestial was asleep. "Son." She said as if it were poison.

"I'm sorry," I said as I looked to her trying to keep the Mikal act up.

"Stop fooling. I know your my son. Do you want to know how I know?" Why did I always get trapped?

"How should you know?" I asked and she smiled cruelly.

"Because Matsu!" She yelled and I flinched. "You can't escape me. When they said you were dead I laughed and they were all confused. You may look younger and you make act like someone your not but I know it's you!" Her voice was commanding and challenging all at the same time. How could she know and furthermore, how did she know I hadn't died? She was right to raise me to be dangerous but I didn't realize how dangerous I had become. That night.

"Matsu?" She asked and I looked at her, my mother, the devil in disguise.

"What?" I snapped.

"My son, oh how I've missed you." What the heck! First she yells at me then she loves me.

"What's your angle and what's your play?" I asked and she looked at me with confusion dominating her face.

"I have no angle and I'm not sure what you mean by play." She said and I stared gawking at her. My mother, the most formidable women known to ever exist. She didn't know what a play was? Liar!

"You have an angle and you most definitely have a play!" Her face was a mask of concern, confusion, and regret. She couldn't actually be trying to patch things up between me and her after what she taught me to do. She had taught me to....

"Annamorga?" My father said as he walked threw the doors. My eyes were pleading with her not to tell him. If my father knew who I was then he would have me executed and that would mean I would send Mikal to the spirit realm before he even had a chance to live.

"Oh, honey. I don't believe you've met, sorry, what was your name?" Apparently she was going for the forgiving mother act before the final death blow.

"Mikal, my name is Mikal." I said kindly as I turned to my father. He extended his hand in greeting and I reached for his hand.

"Nice to meet you Mikal, my name is Castamere." We shook hands and I smiled.

"Nice to meet you sir, I'm a friend of your daughter's. I have only known her since yesterday. Well, I consider her my friend. We only met because we had a match. She may not consider us friends given that I beat her in the match." When I finished I could see the scowl on my mother's face and my father nodded his head in understanding.

"Thank you for telling me. You didn't hit her to hard?" His question was genuine but I felt a sudden dislike for him. My father has never known what my mother did to me and I don't want him to know. All I wish is that he wasn't blinded by my mothers words. I also wasn't too happy that he thought I would hurt my own daughter. She looked exactly like her mother and had the same fiery spirit as well.

"Oh no, I would never hit a person on my side harshly unless I knew they could take it. Also, given the fact that I have never seen any of my fellow Shadowars in battle I wouldn't hit hard unless they hit hard first." My father again nodded and I smiled slightly. Trying to avoid his gaze I turned to my mother. If she wanted to forgive and forget then she wouldn't mind a small game.

"Have you had any other children other then Shadow?" My mother gritted her teeth and my father dismissed the question.

"No, we haven't had any other kids. At least they aren't living anymore." Okay father, that's a good start but I want to know how you felt.

"What was their name?" Again my mother gritted her teeth and my father dismissed the question.

"His name is none of your concern and I suggest you stop asking because you're already on thin ice." He glared at me and I felt a wave of anger wash over me. 'We're in a hospital. We're in a hospital.' I kept reminding myself.

My mother then stepped in. "Honey, don't be so rude; it's okay, I can handle it." SHE CAN HANDLE IT! My blood started boiling! She wasn't the one that had to deal with the endless torture with the endless....

"Fine, his name was Matsu and he died a long time ago." It was only eleven years ago father.

"How did he die, or do you not know?" Of course he wouldn't know but I know my mother will.

"I'm not entirely sure." He said curtly.

"He died a slow and painful death." My mother said and my father turned to look at her. He really didn't know for certain but my mothers face made him turn back to me. At least she got one thing right, it was painful and it was extremely slow.
