I woke up and we all went into Shadow's room. She was asleep but she kept moving and murmuring incoherently. We were all worried but I was so tired because we had been here for a few days and I haven't went home. I've barely eaten and this isn't about me right now.
So I fell asleep. A little while later I woke up and noticed the rigid looks on everyone's faces. I then noticed Shadow was awake and squealed with delight and called her name. We had a small conversation and I still noticed that everyone was rigid with anxiety, fear, and guilt it appeared.
I went home after she left the hospital and was greeted by the worse sight possible. "Stestial!" My father yelled and I tried to run but he grabbed my shirt collar.
My mother sat there on the couch looking distraught because she was drunk. My family life is almost the worst possible. My father grabbed my shirt collar and dragged me back to the front door. "See you next year!" He yelled and threw me outside. I smacked my face on the ground harshly and my lip and nose were bleeding from the impact. I stood up and yelled abuse to the front door while my father went inside to get more drunk.
I ran away from my home and to a place where I belong. No respect left in this place for me. Sadly, I made my way to the abandoned shed where I have spent most of my childhood. I found my spare blanket and pillow and curled myself into the feeble position to sleep. In my dreams darkness and the painful memories of my parents being drunk and the pain from the abuse.
I woke up pouring sweat with tears streaming down my face. Dawn was approaching because the night stars were disappearing into the folds of purple, pink, and orange. It was a beautiful sight but I will never be able to love this place. Although, today I will enjoy the freedom of fresh morning air. That's when I noticed just how beautiful it truly was. The lake had silver fish swimming around and the first signs of sunlight caught the water just right. It made the lake shimmer but better yet the silver fish seamed to glow giving it a galaxy like appearance. I liked this place because of the safety, the security wrapped up in this hidden forest surrounded by animals and life. Did I forget to mention that there was a dense forest surrounding me from the outside world. The trees were tall and thick bright green moss covered their roots making them ever more beautiful. The grass was always warm and inviting but the best part was the fact that not a single animal was afraid to die. They gave themselves willingly and I had to fight the urge to kill every time I came here.
Speaking of which, a small fawn walked out from behind a tree and nuzzled my leg. I patted its soft fur and then I saw what I believed to be the mother. She walked out from behind a different tree and a buck followed. Very rarely have I ever seen the buck with the doe and fawn. My instincts kicked in when I saw a bear cub come crawling out of the woods. In the dawn light before the true sunlight I made out the fact that they were all shimmering and almost... glowing.
"Hello Stestial." Said a deep voice from behind a tree. Given that the trees were thick and old I hadn't noticed him before now. He was tall, fair skinned, had pale green eyes, looked muscular because he had on a tight t-shirt. His muscles flexed and I blushed making him smirk; he also had starless night black hair.
"Hello?" I questioned because I really wanted to know who this guy was. He reminded me of Shadow for some reason but I just couldn't put my finger on it.
"You are Stestial right?" His question surprised me but I shook my head in a gesture of yes. "Great, my name is Matsu." I have to admit that, that was a pretty cool name.
"That's a nice name." Stupid idiot why did I say such stupid things. He must have noticed my inner battle because he said this.
"Thank you, you've got a pretty cool name yourself."
"I feel like I have seen you before." I said because I really needed to know for sure.
"I'm sorry but I can't tell you." Then all of the animals disappeared and I was left alone in the woods. I walked around trying to find the animals and the random guy who looked amazing.
After not being able to find them I headed towards the training grounds where I kept a spare change of clothes. I always had kept a spare everything there in my locker.
                              ••••••••••Time Lapse••••••••••
"Stestial?" Shadow asked. I had went to her room while she was getting ready to leave.
                              "What?" I snapped at her.
"You seem reserved and your arm looks bad. Did you have to go through a match?" I looked at my arm and noticed the giant bruise; I hadn't known about it before.
"Oh..." what do you say about your parents nightly tortures to your best friend?
"What happened?" She asked again but this time with a little more force.
"I... I... I... I wasn't at home last night because of my parents and I'm sorry I never told before. I just couldn't bring myself to tell you that my parents abused me." I rambled quickly and her face paled. Suddenly she didn't look like herself. Her face and body started paling and the sudden bruising appeared on her skin. It began to split and she screamed in pain before blacking out while her skin separated and blood poured from her wounds. Something silvery and glittery escaped her cuts and I felt a guilt grip my heart.
"Shadow!" I screamed and Samaratens ran into the room while Shadowars were forcing me out and I heard the familiar sound of a flatlining heart. It is a familiar sound because I had flatlined a few people but I hadn't realized. I really hope that Shadow wakes up or I will never forgive myself for scaring her in her final moments. Her heart beat didn't come back and I was afraid when they announced her dead.
