Chapter 33: Mikal's P.O.V

I watched Stestial's eyes began to break with tears. "Come here." I said and she ran to my open arms. She started shaking from the tears and the sorrow inside her. Her life already was horrible, she had lost her friend, she found out about triplets which have the potential to die, and she found about Kato and her dead siblings.

"I can't right now." She said and I had to force her not to walk away. She stopped crying.

"Stop being so strong and just allow yourself to break for once. If you hold all of it back and just bottle it up you'll become a ticking time bomb and I'm afraid you might kill someone." I said trying to get through to her. She just continued breathing steadily and without a single mishap.

"Fine." She said.

"Fine what?" I asked and she took a step away from me. I wouldn't force anything anymore.

"Come with me." She said and took my hand in her's.

She walked to the couch and took a seat. She patted the place beside her and I took a seat. "Okay...?" I asked trying to figure it out. She just simply leaned over and laid against my side.

She breathed in deeply and then her breath started getting shaky. She had her eyes closed and I just watched as she broke. Her tears streamed freely but she didn't allow herself to make any noise. That terrified me. Her breath was shallow and shaky but she continued to cry.

"Just let it all out." I said reassuringly.

"Just breathe Stestial. You're daughter wishes joy upon you. You're son wishes life to its fullest upon you. You're youngest remains unknown for now but wishes you peace and understanding."

"Who are you?" I asked out loud.

"Have you already forgotten my voice, Mikal?"

"Matsu?"

"Stestial, can you not feel my presence?"

"Shadow?" Stestial asked.

"We are both here. You're children will survive and I know you're wondering what happened to me three months ago but I can't tell you just yet." Shadow. I've missed you, you were the first I have ever found the ability to love but Stestial is where my heart lies.

"Mikal, I'm glad your feelings for Shadow have ceased and that Stestial is your chosen. You two are perfect for each other. Stestial, you're children will grow strong and you will be surprised by their health and abilities." Matsu, why?

"Goodbye for now, my dear friends. I'm going to miss you but at least I know you're happy. Stestial, you must be careful in the next few weeks. Bad things are going to happen around you, things you can't control. Mikal, you must protect her and if you allow her to slip between your fingers then I will be forced to return before the time is right. If that happens then I will hurt you." Okay Shadow, Don't worry, Stestial is going to remain safe.

"Don't make a promise you can't keep, you will loose her and Shadow will not harm you. She'll return before she needs to because she will disappear. Stestial, your children will be born in a place of darkness."

With that, the voices disappeared and their presence was no longer felt. They were gone and now we had to face the inevitable. Stestial would disappear and our children would be born in a place of darkness. All the while, I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Shoot.
