Chapter 36: Stestial's P.O.V

They returned hours later. "Look Mikal, you're a good guy and I know you love Stestial but I have to take her away. I wonder if she ran off while we were gone." Jacula said walking down the hallway that led to the living room.

"I hope so." Mikal said.

"Dude, okay, I know you want her to stay safe but if she has run away you know I have to chase after her."

"Not if I can help it." Mikal said happily and I heard Jacula give a sigh of defeat.

"Welcome back guys." I said when the entered the living room. I was sitting on the couch watching a TV show.

"Oh, hey Stestial, I'm sorry but you have to come with me." Jacula said.

"I know, hey Mikal, I'm sorry but you know Shadow will find me and then everything will return to normal."

"Actually it won't." Mikal replied.

"What do you mean?" I asked questioningly.

"Remember, Shadow said that our children will be born in a dark place. You'll have the kids while your gone and I won't be there."

"Wait, is that what you're so worried about?" Jacula asked Mikal.

"Kind of..." Mikal's voice trailed off because he had no idea what to say.

"No prob man, when she starts having contractions we'll get the doc to confirm and then I'll send a raiding party to get you. You'll be knocked out for a few minutes and then you'll wake up by Stestial's side while she's having the kids. After that then you can spend the night for some... fun... if you know what I mean." When he finished his statement he started wiggling his eyebrows and Mikal's face turned red from embarrassment.

"No... that wouldn't happen...."

"It's alright, it happens to the best of us." Jacula said.

"Wait, have you...?"

"What, no, I'm waiting for marriage. Didn't you?"

"Well... not exactly."

"Neither of us did. It was with each other before marriage." I explained for Mikal.

"Oh... well then... hopefully you used protection...." Jacula's voice trailed off because he didn't know what else to say.

"Nope." I said carelessly.

"How does that work? You couldn't just wait?" Jacula asked suspiciously.

"Well, we would have considering it was our first time meeting-" but Mikal was cut off.

"Stes, you did it, with a complete stranger?!"

"...Yes..." I replied hesitantly.

"You've seriously got to be kidding me."

"Well I'm not." I replied nonchalantly.

"Wow... and I thought Ar and Kyo were bad."

"No! Do not say those dreaded names! They did it in front of kids because they got lost in the moment! Never are you allowed to say those names in this house!" I suddenly yelled shocking all of us.

"I didn't mean to-" but I cut him off.

"I don't care, come on already."

"Hey Mikal, do you want to join us since she's going willingly and we'll have to kidnap you too. Would you just like to come and see where she'll be staying?"

"I mean if you're okay with that, you won't get into any trouble right?"

"Nah man, everyone does this back at the base."

"It's true." I commented and Mikal just looked at me. "What?!" I snapped.

"Guilty conscience?" He asked smugly.

"I'm about to show you guilty!" I snapped back.

"Alright, love birds, save this for the bed!" Jacula snapped and then led us to the old building. It's high stone walls never ceased to amaze me.

We continued walking inside but kept getting curious and weird glances from several new personnel. Well, new to me since they were recruited after I left.

"Here you go." Jacula said and opened a heavy stone door. Older lock, easily broken. I was amazed by what lay inside. "Since you were once one of us we all decided that you could have a proper room and because you're also pregnant and all." Jacula said with beaming eyes.

"It's breathtaking." I managed to say as I looked around. The entire room was built from solid concrete but unlike normal cells it had a king size bed with a dresser. A small bathroom and a small kitchen. It was a one room apartment but it suited me. There was even a TV.

"How...?" Mikal's voice trailed off as he looked around the room in shock.

"I already told you, she was once one of us. By the way Stes, this is actually your old room." Now I remember the high concrete walls and the amazingly soft bed.

"I remember." I said distantly and I got a weird glance from Mikal.

"What's wrong Stes, do you not like it?" Jacula asked with his bright demeanor changing.

"What, no, I love it. I just am starting to get sleepy." I said and he nodded.

"Well then, we'll leave you. I have to show you the way out Mikal." Jacula said and Mikal kissed me and gave me a hug before leaving the room.

I laid down on the soft sheets and closed my eyes. I fell asleep quickly but it was troubled because I didn't feel a warm body beside me.
