The look on Stestial's face said everything I needed to know. It unlocked my fear and edginess too. I've never seen Stestial have a numbness about her. She seemed to not care but her eyes darkened and not in a good way. She seemed terrifying but I wasn't worried for my safety. The safety of the children she carries is what causes my fears.
"When will she be here?" Stestial asked.
"In a few minutes."
"Good." She replied unemotionally.
"Um... why did she ask for Stestial to be restrained?"
"Stestial is a great fighter. Almost as strong as both her parents combined." I answered for her. I glanced at Stestial who gazed unfixed on anything. She just stared at something in her past, present, or future. Something I'm not sure I want to see from her.
The phone rang for Dr. Angelica and she answered. "She's coming up now."
"Please restrain me with your highest quality restraints." Stestial said and laid back on the bed, excepting what was happening to her.
"Um... okay." The doctor replied and grabbed some metal restraints. Placing one over each wrist and ankle, securing her extremities at the joints as well. She then used more restraints to encase her throat and torso. To me it was a terrifying site.
"Thank you Stestial." Her mother said walking into the room. "I know you probably have many questions and I'll do my best to answer all of them."
"I just want to know if I had any other siblings?"
"You do, they just weren't meant for this earth."
"How many?"
"You had an older sister and a twin brother. Kato was adopted after we had you for three years. We made him swear not to tell you. It was hard for him."
"Where is my sister?"
"She died in a fight before you were born. She was thirteen."
"How did she die?"
The tension steadily increased. "She was walking around when three guys jumped her. They were drunk and she was weak. One had a chain and chained her to the wall because they were in an alley. Another tore away her clothes while the other had already been on her. She couldn't escape and after they all had used her. They simply slashed her throat and walked away." Her mother was now on the ground trying to fight tears that kept escaping.
"So, why are you crying?" Stestial asked her mother. I stared at her in shock.
"What are you talking about?! Don't you have any care for the life you lost?!" Her mother screeched.
"I feel nothing for the life I never knew." Stestial replied.
"What about your brother? He was born dead."
"So, I survived didn't I?"
"Yes... but still...?" Her mother gave up on talking and walked away. Stestial was unrestrained and we left. Heading back to our house she went straight to bed and I made myself some dinner. Then I headed to bed beside her. Falling asleep beside her my dream were troubled and turned to nightmares.
