As Mikal took control I listened to the sounds around me. I kept thinking back to our conversation when Mikal said he liked her. No way could they have a relationship given the fact that I'm here. There has to be some way to separate without killing us. Maybe I can find a different body but that has only happened one other time.

I now listened in on their conversation and was surprised by Mikal's assumption.

"Alright." Mikal said.

"Where are we going to pull this deadly stunt?" Shadow asked and I hated the fact that she believed Mikal. There were easier ways of doing this but for once I couldn't take control of Mikal.

I mean, the first time I met Shadow was a fighting match for the Shadowars.

"It will be held near Pine Rock Cliff." Pine Rock Cliff is exactly what it sound like, a cliff surrounded by pines and rocks.

"Um..." Shadow looked as if she couldn't form words. Then again, that's where her mother died, she killed a person, and I almost died.

"Don't worry, I will try to not let you die." Mikal said and I mentally slapped him.

"Mikal!" I yelled with fury.

"Yes Matsu?" He asked in his head as Shadow just stayed silent.

"First, you have a crush on my daughter! Then, you want to kill her!" I snapped at him and he seemed utterly confused.

"What, I'm trying to teach her how to control her spirit?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Let me take control." I said warningly.

"No." Was his reply before he resumed his attention towards Shadow.

"It's alright, I'll be there to help you." He tried to comfort her but I laughed. He was horrible when it came to sympathy and things like that. Wait, he's not good with sympathy. He wants to teach my daughter by trying to get her killed. He then says he'll be there to help her but the images running through his mind are not ones I'd want to think of.

"Mikal if you harm one precious hair on her head then I will kill you!" I yelled and almost attacked him then and there but I restrained myself. It was hard but I had to. Shadow was in the room and I didn't want her to see Mikal die. Truth be told I know she feels something towards him. Whether it be love as a friend, brother, or lover I have no clue.

"I'm not going to hurt her Matsu. Get off your high horse and realize that!" Mikal shouted in his head and then my head hurt.

"Whatever, let me ask her a question."

"No, you can tell me the question and I'll ask her." He said and I smiled deceptively.

"Ask her how she feels about you."

"Never mind, you can ask." He said and released control to me.

"Are you okay Mikal." She asked with concern.

"It's Matsu not Mikal." I said bluntly and her eyes suddenly hardened.

"So, what do you want?" She said snappily. Mood swings?

"I just wanted to know your thoughts on Mikal." I said trying to keep control of my rising anger.

"Oh, I'm sorry for being snappy but I just needed to snap. My mind is in every place but here." She said sadly. What the heck?

"It's okay." I said trying to comfort her. I went to give her a hug and got yelled at.

"GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF ME!" She roared demonically.

"Are you okay sweetheart?" I asked.

"I'm fine dad." She said happily. Definitely mood swings but why?

"Are you sure?"

"I said I'm fine!" She yelled. Why does it have to be me? Why did her mother leave me to raise this thing?

"Okay sweety." I said trying to help her calm down.

"So, what was your question again?" She asked eyeing the floor suspiciously.

"How do you feel about Mikal?"

"Well, he seems like he could be a good friend but I don't really know him that well." She said and I smiled. That's my girl, be reserved!

"Okay, thank you." Then I relieved control to Mikal who willingly took it. Then they started discussing their plans to help Shadow.
