Chapter 26

Bonjour everybody ! I am sorry for taking so long to upload this chapter . I had some really important things to do otherwise I would've never took this long . Next chapter is gonna be uploaded very soon and its gonna be mostly about Aaron and Rachel :).

Author's POV

She felt her body shivering with nervousness and maybe fear as well . She tried to recall every thing she had done in these last few days but she found nothing that could possibly made her boss angry .

She was in good and stable position , her salary was now more than enough for her as she got promoted just last week .Everything was going perfect but since she got a call from her boss who told her to meet him in his office in couple of hours she just couldn't stop thinking the worst . It was her day off . She was supposed to be sleeping peacefully but there she was thinking how she would survive she if lose this job .

Standing in front of his office she prayed silently for the last time before knocking . She opened the door after she heard his firm voice telling her to come in .

She was expecting him to look angry but he wasn't , not at all . Instead he was smiling widely .

"I've been waiting for you dear " he said in fatherly tone .
She stood there confused looking at his old , wrinkled yet good looking face .

''Please take a seat Rachel '' he spoke softly and she was glad to finally give her legs some relief .

"I am sorry for asking you to come on your day off" he apologized and she felt as if heavy weight is lifted off her chest . She now knew that he wasn't going to fire her or else he would've never apologized .

"That's fine sir I wasn't busy anyway" she tried to smile but for some reason she couldn't maybe because she was still little nervous as he must had some reason to call her there .

"You've proved to me in a short period of time that you are a high potential employee . In 30 years of my experience no employee has impressed me as much as you have " he smiled before continuing  .

"There's this party coming up in Paris where all famous businessmen from all over the world will come , I usually attend this party with my personal assistant only because maybe I never had anyone as great as you before to accompany me  to represent my company there"

She gasped , she couldn't believe her ears . Was he asking her to represent his company at international level !? Finally she was being rewarded for her hard work .

"Mr Reed I am not sure if I am good enough for this " she said looking down . She had to put her excitement aside for a moment . No doubt she had worked hard but to her she wasn't good enough . She wasn't the one for for this task .

"I am your boss Ms Winters and I know you are perfect for this task . It's final now . We are going to Paris next week " he announced .

After discussing some more about what she is exactly supposed to do she took her leave . She just coudln't believe she was finally going to Paris . The only place she had always dreamed of ever since she was a little girl .

How ironic her dreams always had her parents with her  there when she was a kid . She used to dream of going to Paris for family vacations but her dream broke terribly when her parents visited Paris without her . Then she grew up and Aaron came into the picture . He promised to her that they would spend their honeymoon in Paris but he broke his promise . And now there she was going to her dream city in a week without any of them and she was happy about that .
