"Why you gotta leave?" The girl complained. I met this random the first day we got to Houston, fucked her a couple times..now she's attached.

"LA is my home, Tierra."

"But Tyyy-"

"Don't hold me up Tierra. I gotta meet Ace downstairs any minute."

Since our argument, this was gonna be my first time seeing Ace. I didn't even go to his show. He needs to learn how to treat people, and until he does he doesn't have my support.

"Lemme go with y'all." She said with a southern accent peaking through.

"Tierra you were so fun to be around. But I can't take you back to Cali. It just wouldn't make sense leaving your entire life here in Texas JUST for me."

"But that dick-"

"I promise I'll be back. I'll fly out here and see you every so often. Cool?"

"Okay." She said still sounding dissatisfied.

"Alright. Menace is downstairs with the driver, I'm out." I told her, knowing I'd never speak to her again.

When Ty got in the car there was an immediate awkward tension. Audrey has already convinced me to apologize...I just didn't know how.

"I fucked up? Is that what you're gonna say? That ain't no apology, Ace."

"Bro I apologize for how I was to you and Audrey. I need to get over myself, and I'm working on it."

"Yeah I thought you'd say that." He said putting on his headphones.

"Quit acting like a girl, I said sorry-"

"Ace have you ever fathomed that sometimes sorry isn't enough?" He said shrugging, as the car pulled off, driving us to the airport.

"Ty-"

"Nah I'm just fucking with you. But you better watch how you be talking to me."

"I know...I know."

"You talk to Audrey?"

"Yeah..we good I guess."

"Did she say you two are good? Or you assuming that?"

"I mean she accepted my apology. But she told me to apologize to you. I also learned that she doesn't want me to meet her family."

All I wanted was to spend an afternoon at my parent's new place, but I was now being interviewed by Adirra and her friends. Word gets around fast about this Menace thing.

"I don't know...that's a weird question."

Obviously I'd seen Nathan's underwear before, seen what's underneath them too. But still, as far as they know I'm only his assistant.
