AudreyAgain I found myself waking up next to Nathan, his large window allowing an absurd amount of light into the room.
His loud ass snoring takes some getting used to, but I'm adjusting. With his arm snugly around my waist, there was no use in trying to get up, so instead I just grabbed my phone.
I noticed a text from Adirra, which I rarely ever get, unless it was something to do with my dad or Beatrice.
(you guys said you liked this format and it's easier on me so here you go)
I knew that if I even thought about offering Nathan to meet my family, he'd jump at the opuurtunity. The problem would be my family's crazy obsession, along with Nathan not being able to keep a secret.
I sighed in frustration.
"What's wrong?" Nathan said, startling me.
"I thought you were sleep."
"I was...you woke me up with all that huffing and puffing." He said sitting all the way up, with his back against the headboard.
"I'm just frustrated."
"With..?"
"My dad and my step mom have a foster kid, and don't get me wrong..she's great, but since she found out I work for you she's been freaking out about it. My stepmom is having a housewarming dinner, and they're like forcing me to invite you."
"You don't want me there, Drey?"
"I know if you went you'd be so uncomfortable-"
"You don't know that. And if you don't want them to know we're together that's fine..but if they want to meet me so bad why can't they?"
"I don't know.."
"Well I do. Shiit, I'm going. I wanna meet my future in-laws."
"Hold your horses, Nathaniel."
"I'm just dreaming big, that's all."

Nathan
Sunday morning approached quickly, with my week only really consisting of a couple meetings and spending time with Audrey around the house.
She was currently freaking out going through her closet searching for something to wear. Her room was neat and tidy, with the bed made perfectly. Mainly because she'd been sleeping in mine for some time now.
"Why you tripping? It's just your family."
"It's my wholeeee family. My judgmental ass family. It's cool when there's just a few of us, but when you start mixing in aunts and uncles..ugh. Tell me. What do you think of this one?" She said lifting up an olive green long sleeved dress.
