*Scarlet's Pov*

I let out a deep sigh as I hear the officers and detectives a few feet behind me, their footsteps and voices getting louder as they get closer.

I stop where I stood, and threw the phone Jade gave me underneath the door the bodyguard was standing next to. I don't want to make him worried. I'm not his problem.

For a second, Jade's face popped into my mind. His mischievous smile, his thick black hair, and his dark eyes all held my mind captive. I felt my heartbeat take off fast as I thought about him.

I turned around, facing the large group of people waiting me, each one relieved and out of breath.

"Come with us. " An officer said with triumph.

I pressed my lips together as I let them take me out to whatever awaits me.

*Narrator of story Pov*

The bodyguard heard the footsteps as the noise descended down the hallway. He cautiously picked up the phone that Scarlet had thrown to him, last minute.

He held a breath as he called Jade, afraid of his reaction. Although Jade had never been one to be unfair, the bodyguard could already hear his disappointment.

"Hello? Scarlet, where are you? " Jade said into the phone, expecting to hear Scarlet's sweet voice telling him that she made it out. It wasn't until she called that he realized what a strange reaction he had when her name popped up...he felt a strong thumping from the heart in his chest, and excited yet filled with worry. He felt the strong urge to run over to her, and to embrace her into a hug. But, after all, that's what he would do for any girl, right? Jade shook away the silly thought...why was he feeling so strongly about her now?

"CEO Jade, I'm sorry. Miss Ankist got caught. " The bodyguard said sincerely into the phone. Jade's heart dropped. She had gotten caught? That wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to make it out, free and with the weird charm of hers.

"Then why do you have her phone? " His voice was dripping with sadness and disappointment, the bodyguard felt upset by his tone.

"She secretly threw it to me before she got caught. " The bodyguard said.

Jade hung up the phone, his thumb pressed against the hang up button with ease. His emotions were all tangled and mixed, he didn't know what to feel right now.

Jade's personal bodyguard, and childhood friend, Logan put his magazine down. He sat down next to Jade, curious to what had happened. One look at Jade's confused and worried face, and Logan already knew something was wrong.

"What happened? " Logan asked.

Jade leaned backwards into his chair, the tension built up in his shoulders and back. He let out a sigh of stress, and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Trisha did something. " He said lowly.
