I instantly jumped off of the floor and trailed my eyes over the room. The computer screen in particular. The image of Jade on the floor covered in blood disappeared. In its place, there was a new chapter of W. Curiosity engulfed me as I sat down on my father's chair and started to read the new chapter. 

The very first panel is Jade on the floor: the very last image I saw before I got grabbed into their world. The next one is a shadow lurking towards him. The shadow slowly started forming a person–a female. The figure slowly wandered around the roof–confused, before her eyes caught the near-dying figure in from of her. The clothes and hair caught my attention. They were exactly like mine. Was dad trying to make the girl look like me? 

She quickly kneels down to check his breathing before trying to stop the blood pouring from his side. Her steps mirrored mine. 

A gasp escaped from her mouth as she realized the blood is not stopping. She rushes down the stairs and grabbed a bunch of tissues from the neat pile, in the large cooking room. Her face is then shown on the screen, clear and bright. A gasp rushed out of my mouth. Her facial features were like mine. Her clothes, her body, her hair and even her face–she was me. 

The rest of the chapter was exactly what had happened when I was grabbed into the comic–the kitchen, the waiter, the manager and even the part where Jade and I locked eyes. 

I quickly ran out of my dad's room, prepared to question him. 

I ran into the last place I saw him: the living room, only to find it empty of him, and my brother watching TV. 

"Where's dad? " I asked. 

Earl's head instantly twisted to look at mine and he rolled his eyes. "I just came back from doing a surgery. I'm tired. Go read the fridge. " 

I ran to the fridge only to find a note scribbled in my dad's horrible handwriting. 

I'll be back by 8:00. I need to go relax. 

-Dad

I felt my anger as it ran through me. I ran back to Earl, thirsty for answers. 

"Earl! " I ran to him. "Did you read the latest chapter of W? " 

His eyes slowly transitioned from the TV to me as he pursed his lips. "Yes. For some reason, dad added a really ugly woman into the chapter. And she has the same name as you. "

"Exactly! " I jumped up. "That woman is me! " I said with wide eyes. 

"Impossible. It can't be you. " He eyes wandered back to the TV. "You're too ugly to be drawn. " A tight chuckle escaped his mouth. 

"I'm serious! " I yelled. 

"Hi serious, I'm Earl. " He said. 

"You're so annoying. " I muttered as I ran off to my bedroom. 

"No you. " He yelled in response.

8:00 rolled along soon, but my dad was not to be seen. My brother and I had just finished dinner when he got a text from him. 

"What did he want? Where is he? Is he ok? " The questions escaped my mouth as I finished chewing my food. An annoyed look crossed his face as he pursed his lips. "He's not going to come home today. " He put the phone inside of his pocket.
