CHAPTER 19: I AM Beautiful

RUBY

After resting for a good few days after he marked me, I suddenly felt re-energized and immediately felt full of energy to where I couldn't stay in bed. So I got up and made my way downstairs where Kathleen and Boulder were discussing something quietly.

Kathleen see's me while looking over his shoulder and smiles.

"Good morning." She grins.

"Morning." I smile.

Boulder turns and looks at me while walking over to me and pulls me close to him before giving me a great good morning kiss.

"Good morning beautiful." He smiles.

"Good morning." I blush in reply.

"How do you feel?" He asks.

"Great actually! In fact, better than I thought. I guess those few days of resting gave me a lot of energy." I tell him.

"Good. Because we need to start training you as soon as possible." He says.

"Okay. I'm ready." I tell him excited.

"First you need to eat something." He chuckles.

"Okay." I smile before walking into the kitchen and pouring myself some cereal. "Do you guys want anything?" I ask.

"No. We ate already. But thank you." Kathleen says.

"Ruby, when you're finished, I want you to meet me outside." He tells me.

"Okay." I wink at him.

I'm not sure where this excitement is coming from but, I like it.

Once I'm finished eating I start heading out to the backyard where I see no one at first but then as I walk down the porch, I suddenly hear someone running and quickly turn to my right where I heard the noise come from and see Jai running towards me and as he gets closer, I swiftly grab his arm as he punches in my direction and flip him over onto his back.

After that was done, that's when I saw the rest of the pack along with Boulder in the middle all come out of the woods and stand looking at me with their arms crossed against their chests.

"She's good." Jai states as he stands up and brushes himself off before joining the rest of them.

"What's going on? Was that part of the training?" I asked.

"It was. I needed to see how much strength both you and your abilities after being turned were. It's a good thing when your senses are as high as they are while in human form."

"Okay.." I replied confused.

"However, now that that's been determined, next part of your training is shifting."

"Okay, how do I do that?"

"You close your eyes and just picture yourself as a wolf. It can look however you want because you don't know what yours looks like yet. I will warn you that it's gonna be very painful but whatever happens and no matter how painful it is, don't stop shifting." He says in a worried yet serious tone.

"Alright." I replied feeling now a bit scared.

Boulder looks at his men and nods his head to make everyone leave back into the woods.

"Where are they going?" I asked him.

"We'll meet up with them in a minute. For right now, I need you to focus. Not to mention that I don't want any other man looking at you." He says with an intense stare.

I begin to blush.

"Do you mean I have to get naked? Out here?" I asked.

"Yeah. Don't worry, if you want, I can go first." He grins seductively.

I right away begin to feel myself get a little wet from him just saying that.

"We can do it together." I tell him while biting my lower lip in a teasing way.

"Mmm...Alright." He moans a little bit.

We both close our eyes and I can hear his bones cracking a few seconds later and then  I begin picturing a wolf as I suddenly start feeling next my bones cracking as well. I have never felt this much pain in my life and the pain is excruciating.

I drop to my knees and hands on the ground while continuing to feel my bones start to stretch out and extend further than they were intended too, along with my ribs feeling as though they were being broken and snapped

Then once I no longer felt pain and felt like I was standing on all fours, that's when I opened my eyes and saw Boulder in his wolf form just a few feet from me, slowly walking up towards me.

"You look beautiful." He mind-links me.

"Thank you." I reply.

His wolf was a beautiful dark midnight blue fur with light blue eyes and looked bigger than the others.

"Come. Let's run a little bit and then we'll meet up with the guys and do more training. Plus, I want you to see your wolf." He says.

We both start to then run off into the woods and right away, I was running close to the same speed as him.

Then we stopped after a while and we stopped at a lake.

"This is amazing." I mind-linked him.

"Thank you. I love coming here sometimes." He replies. "Now, go and look at yourself." He says.

I start to slowly walk over towards the water and am feeling very nervous as to what I look like. Can you see my scars? I start to wonder.

When I get to the water, at first I keep my eyes closed and then take in a few deep breaths and let them out before opening my eyes.

As I look at my reflection, I can't help but feel more beautiful than I have ever felt as a human.

My fur was soft just as his while my fur was a deep chocolate brown color and my eyes were a beautiful hazel green. He was right, I do look beautiful.
