I thought about you? What the hell was that supposed to mean? Well I wasn’t likely to find out any time soon. Today is now Wednesday, and I haven’t been able to speak to Ethan since Monday. I was going to ask him when he said it but the bell rang.
Stupid freaking bell, stupid freaking bell ringer, stupid freaking school, stupid freaking meetings, and stupid freaking teacher, damn that man! What is he doing trying to do to me? I want to go for a run, but it’s currently raining outside… I sink onto my bed, prepared to go into full sloth, self-loathing mode. My best friends have other plans however.
“Skylar, what are you doing?” I hear Rae’s voice, before I hear her thundering up the steps. What the hell? She sounds like a herd of elephants. When she opens the door, I figure out why. I look up to see her and Gage walking into my bedroom.
“Hello, welcome to my own personal Hell. It’s called boredom, joining is free, I don’t recommend it however.” I tell them, before dropping my face back into my pillow.
“You sound pathetic Sky.” Gage tells me, and I grunt in response.
“I think she’s going through withdrawals.” Rae says, sitting down beside me.
“Withdrawals, what would she be going into withdrawals from?” Gage asks, and I tense up for a moment. He doesn’t know about my… infatuation with my English teacher, and I plan on keeping it like that.
“Withdrawals from fun, we need to go do something.” I once again grunt in response.
“I agree, I can’t believe I’m going to say this but let’s go to the mall.” I lift my head slightly in response to look at Gage. I look at him suspiciously.
“Sky, why are you looking at me like that?”
“Who are you and what have you done with my Gage?” I ask, turning over and laying my head in Raeghyn’s lap. She starts playing with my hair. Gage laughs at me.
“I just want to go and hang out with my friends. Is that a crime?”
“I don’t want to…” I tell them whining.
“I hear that the exorcist is playing.” Gage tells me, and I’m paying attention now.
“Come back with that.”
“They’re having a showing of the exorcist.”
“Okay, I’ll go.” I tell them, and they both laugh.
“Gage next time we’ll start with the scary movie, and go from there.” Rae says, and I laugh.
“Shut-up it’s a classic, one of the best horror movies ever!” Even though demon movies freak me out, this is one of the best movies ever! (Seriously I really do love this movie)
“Yeah we know, not let’s go!” Rae yells, getting up from the bed causing me to fall over.
“Thanks for the warning.” I tell her glaring.
“You’ll be okay, now get ready!” She tells me, and I look down.
“I am ready.”
“You need to change your clothes.”
“What’s wrong with my clothes Rae?” I ask, looking down at my jeans, short sleeve shirt, and flip-flops.
“Nothing, but need I remind you it’s raining?” She tells me, pointing out the window.
“Oh good point, Gage get out.” I tell him, and he frowns.
“Is Rae staying?” He asks, and I look at Rae who nods her head.
