Laughter echoed off the walls of stone throughout the night, as the two figures had found themselves talking each other's ears off about everything. Telling stories and jokes until the other would burst into fits of laughter.

Toothless thought he'd developed the strongest abdominal muscles on Berk after spending time with the fish-girl-- mermaid!

"... and after he said it, Ruffnut kicked Tuffnut straight into the canyon. It was pretty hilarious."

"She kicked her brother into a canyon, because he said she had a dragon as a figure? Serves him right!" she said through tears of laughter.

"Yeah, and he screamed so loud, he scared Sven's flock of sheep away for two days. Snotlout's record was a week. Besides, saying she has the figure of a dragon is an insult to all dragons."

"That's just rude, Toothless."

He shrugged.

"I can't believe we've been here all night," she said quietly, "It's been nice talking to someone."

"Can't you talk to the fish? I'm sure they'd like to listen to your hilarious jokes."

"You're shore?"

"Oh for Thor's sake, I give up!"

He rolled over onto his back and covered his eyes and ears with his tail.

"What are you--"

"If I can't hear you, I may be granted a pinch of my sanity!"

"You dramatic little-- For the eighth time, I can't talk to fish!"

"But you're a--"

"Save it," she cut him off, not wanting him to mock her some more.

He chuckled at her and stood up on all fours. He glanced at the sky which had turned from pitch black to navy and purple. The stars had begun to fade. Just then, he felt a chilly breeze.

He shivered.

"Cold?" she mused.

"Just a bit."

She frowned thoughtfully and swam back, tail glistening beneath the water.

"Come in the water. It's much warmer."

"Are you crazy?! It's probably freezing in there!"

She giggled and splashed water at him.

"Oi!"

"Don't be such a baby," she teased and sent another wave directly as his face, "C'mon it's not that bad!"

"Over my dead body!"

The Night Fury firmly turned around, back faced to his new friend as he held his head high and let out and arrogant 'hmph'.

Sirena's lips curled into a large smile, before she raised her tail. In one swift movement, she brought it crashing down, creating a wave which soaked the now spluttering dragon. A rogue starfish was plastered between his eyes.

Upon noticing it, he shrieked and swatted it away, leaving her in tears of laughter.

"I am not going in there."

"Guess I'll have to bring the ocean to ya'."

Another splash came hurtling towards him.

He shook his entire body, teeth now chattering as the wind swept over his body tauntingly.
