In the past few days, the boys, Jason and I had been spending full days in the studio. Like actual 24 hour periods of time, and while it was amazing, when I woke up this morning I could barely open my eyes.
"Lilly, just stay." Dougie says to me, in bed, while he's getting ready to go back to the studio. I feel like I can't even open my eyes. "You can just meet us later."
"But Fletch said-" I start.
"Fletch says a lot of things." Dougie says. "It'll be fine." That's really all the convincing I need. Dougie comes over and sits on the edge of the bed. "I'll see you later." He leans over and kisses my forehead. "Love you." I give him a thumbs up, with my eyes still closed.
"Ditto." I smile.
"Ditto?" He asks. I start to laugh. "Wow really feeling the love in here."
"Well what do you want?" I ask, laughing.
"'Dougie Poynter, you're the greatest man I've ever met.'" He says, pretending to be me.
"Dougie Poynter." I start.
"Yes?"
"You're one of the greatest man-children I've ever met." I laugh.
"One of?" He asks and I laugh.
"Well there's Danny and Harry and To-"
"That is incorrect!" He says, leaning over and crushing me.
"Ow! Get off! I can't breathe!" I say.
"If you couldn't breathe you wouldn't be talking. Say it." Dougie says.
"Get off!" I laugh.
"Say it!"
"DougiePoynteryou'rethegreatestmanI'veevermet-now get off!" I open my eyes, and Dougie's smiling face.
"Victory." He says. I laugh and nod.

When I do get up, all the boys are gone and Gi is in the kitchen.
"Hey Lilly." She smiles.
"Hi Gi. How'd you sleep?" I ask.
"Good thanks." She smiles. "Going in later?"
"Yeah. I was just so tired." I say, starting to make some coffee to help.
"I don't mean to pry, but...Tom told me you and Dougie got in an argument the other day." She says.
"Oh...yeah. Our first one." I say. "Have you and Tom ever gotten in a fight?"
"Oh yeah. Tons." She says. "It's okay. Every couple does." I was surprised. I always felt like Tom and Gi were, like, the flawless couple...but I guess everyone has their own...stuff. "Did you work it out?"
"Yeah. Yeah." I smile, but I feel my smile fade. "For the most part."
"Uh oh. What does that mean?" Gi asks.
"Well..." I say in a high pitched voice.
"What happened?" She asks.
"Well we were supposed to go on a date that day we got in a fight...and I still showed up." I say.
"Okay?" Gi asks.
"He...didn't." I say. "And I don't know...am I stupid for showing up? And then being upset about it?"
"Well, did he mean to blow you off?" She asks.
"I don't know." I say. "I didn't bring it up. All I know is that when we were supposed to go on our date he went clubbing with you guys."
"What?" Gi asks, seriously.
"Why are you saying it like that?" I ask.
"We asked Dougie if he was busy with you before we went and he said no." She says.
"Well...did he say it like he was mad at me? Or did he say it like he forgot." I say.
"I'm not sure. But he didn't seem mad." She says. "Lilly you have to talk to him about it."
"I don't know, Gi. I don't want to get in another fight with him." I say.
"But that's not okay...I mean...did he cancel the reservation?" She asks.
"No." I say.
"He doesn't do that a lot, right? Like, at home?" I scoff.
"I wouldn't know." I scoff."We don't really have time for dates."
"What do you mean?" She asks.
"He's always out clubbing and partying. I don't even see him enough at home to schedule a date." I say.
"Oh, Lilly. That's bad." She says.
"I know. I know it is but...what am I going to do? Break up with him?" I ask, rhetorically. I turn around and Gi's face is serious. "I'm not going to break up with him, Gi." I say, starting to get angry.
"Is that what you want your relationship to be like?" She asks.
"We love each other." I say.
"Yeah but it doesn't really matter if you don't carry through with your actions."
"Well...Dougie's not Tom." I say. "You said it yourself."
"Even Harry...or Danny!"
"Well he's not Harry or Danny either!" I yell. We're both quiet for a minute. "He's Dougie."
"I'm not trying to tell you what to do." Gi says, empathetically.
"I know...I'm sorry." I reply.
"But if I were you..." She starts, turning away.
I don't want her to finish her sentence.
