I told the boys about the One Direction Tour, to which they were all ecstatic. Danny was even able to get in direct contact with one of the band members because he had his number. I'm not sure which one though.
Harry passed the message onto Dougie. He wasn't talking to me.
I'd continued looking at the Baltimore Paramedic Program. I'd gone as far to print out the page. I'd read it until I fell asleep at night and then tuck it under my pillow in the morning, just to make sure no one found it.
Today was my interview with Fearne. We were all doing our interviews on different days. Matt, Dougie, Harry and James had already been interviewed, along with Matt's wife Emma. They're also doing a segment all together with Fearne tomorrow, so after me, all that would be left for individual interviews were Tom and Danny.
I straightened up and fluffed pillows that didn't need to be fluffed until there was a knock at my door. I wiped my hands on my pants. I didn't want Fearne to realize how nervous I was.
"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod." I say, quickly walking to the door and opening it to reveal Fearne, smiling. She was wearing a bright yellow coat-dress. It was almost as bright as her white smile and light blonde hair. "Hi!" I exclaim. My stomach churns as I notice the cameras are already rolling, and Fearne gives me a big hug.
"Hi Lilly! How are you?" She asks.
"I'm good. Come in, come in." I say, letting her and the small crew in. "You guys can set up just through there, that's the living room. Can I get anyone anything to drink?"
"I'll just have a water please." Fearne says. I nod, going into the kitchen, as the rest went into the living room. I filled a glass with water, spilling little bits due to my shaky hands as I made my way to the living room. I place the glass in front of Fearne on the coffee table and take a seat on the opposite side of the couch from her.
"I'm not going to lie. I'm kind of nervous. I've never done an interview before." I laugh, trying to still act cool.
Bloody loser, I am.
"Oh no worries!" Fearne smiles. Just be yourself, no pressure this is super laid back." I nod, tucking some hair behind my ears and wiping my nose on the back of my hand. I immediately look up at the cameras and then over at Fearne.
"Oh shite, I shouldn't have done that on TV. I probably also shouldn't have said shite. Oh god I just said it again. Can you cut that out?" I ask. Fearne laughs lightly.
"Yes. No problem." She smiles. "So you are one of the masterminds behind McFly."
"Kind of. It's mostly Fletch and Richard Rashman. They made the band happen, but it's my job to keep them in line I guess."
"And you've been with the boys for...what? How many years now?" She asks.
"It will be ten in November." I nod. "I was hired by Fletch just before the beginning of the Room on the Third Floor tour."
"Wow. What's been the best part?" Fearne asks. I let out a breath, thinking.
"I mean...I've been so lucky. We've done so much and gone so many places. I know this is an absolutely disgusting answer but it's probably just been being able to...make the best friends of my life. The boys are literally family to me and I honestly don't know what I would do if I hadn't met them. They've been...the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"That's so lovely." Fearne smiles genuinely. I've always like Fearne, through the many years the boys have done interviews with her. I remember when she had chunky highlights and hosted CD:UK. "And, this could totally be a rumor, but it's been a conspiracy spread round through many fans that you and Dougie used to date? Can I get a confirmation on that?"
