Tom and I were looking at my laptop screen and my mouth was hanging open.
"In my defense...I didn't think it would actually sell out." Tom says.
The boys had sold out the two shows at the Royal Albert Hall so fast, that the staff at the RAH offered them two more nights to play.
And those sold out as well.
"Do you know what this means?" I exclaim, getting up from in front of the computer and starting to pace.
"That we sold out four shows at The Royal Albert Hall?" He turns to face me.
"No! That I have to dye my hair blue because of you." I say, angrily.
"Oh, yeah...that too." Tom laughs. "Good thing I brought everything you need."
"You think I'm letting you do this?" I scoff.
"We're not giving you a choice."
"Who's we?" I ask.
"Danny...he should be here any minute now."

"Don't freak out Lilly. It comes out in ten washes." Danny shrugs, as we sit around waiting for my hair to dry.
"Yeah. That's ten days I have to walk around looking like Marge Simpson." I sigh.
"Could be worse." Tom adds. "Could be an ugly color. Like green."
"Well, yeah, that's why you lightened my hair." I sigh. Just then Tom and Danny look at each other with wide eyes.
"Wha-...come again?" Tom asks. I stand up.
"You bleached my hair before you put this on, right?" I ask.
"Uhhh." Danny replies.
"Oh you bloody idiots!" I exclaim, taking the towel off my head and running to the bathroom. They follow behind me.
"Why would we bleach your hair if you've already got light hair?" Danny asks. I groan, putting my head under my bathroom sink and rinsing it out.
"Because! If you mix blue and yellow you get-" I come up and look in my mirror.
"Green." Tom answers.
My hair was not blue. It was green.
I turn and face Danny and Tom who look horrified.
"When I said green was ugly, what I really meant was-"
"Save it." I hold up my hand. "At least this isn't permanent. We'll just take the photo for instagram and then I'll try and wash it all out before-"
"What did we miss?" I hear Harry call. I walk out of the bathroom and to the top of the stairs to see Harry and Dougie standing at the front door. I turn back to Tom and Danny who are behind me.
"You invited them?" I ask.
"Well yeah! They wanted to see your blue hair!" Danny smiles.
"Which we don't see." Harry says. I look back down at him. "Your hair is green."
"I know!" I exclaim, frustrated. "They messed up."
"Classic." Dougie laughs.
******************************
We sit around for a while, eating, talking and drinking and I try to ignore the green in my peripheral vision.
"Guys!" Tom calls from the kitchen. "Bring the dishes in!" There were dirty plates on the coffee table from what we ate, and even though we were at my house, Tom had been coming into his "husband role" around everyone lately.
Harry sighs, getting up and picking up two plates, while Danny did the same.
"It's a hard-knock life, for us." Danny sings, as the two of them walk into the kitchen. I laugh, and stand to pick up another plate.
"Um, actually-" Dougie starts, standing up next to me. "Lilly could I talk to you...outside?"
"Oh." I say, putting down the dish I was holding. "Sure." Dougie starts to walk outside and I follow. My heart thunders in my chest.
Was it something good? Was he going to tell me something about the sold out shows? But then why wouldn't he say it inside? I began to fear the worst. What if he had a slip up and had to go back in like Matt?
Though Matt's doing great now so if that's what he needed, it's fine. We'd figure it out...but I'd hate to see it happen-
"So." Dougie closes the door behind him as we stand on the steps.
"You alright?" I asked. I had to ask. I was getting worried.
"I am." Dougie nods, sure of himself. "I haven't told the boys yet but...I needed to tell someone. Lara and I broke up."
I felt bad, but considering what my mind had conjured up, I was a bit relieved.
"Oh Dougie. I'm sorry." I do genuinely feel for Dougie. Him and Lara were great together. I really thought she'd be the one.
I think he did too.
"Can I ask?" I start. "What happened?"
"It was mutual. Not messy or anything, so that's good. Just wasn't working like it used to I suppose." He says, looking down.
"Hey, cheer up." I smile, patting his arm. "Maybe this is the universe's way of getting you to Natalie Portman." Dougie stifles a laugh.
"I'll keep telling myself that."
"Now come on." I say. "Let's get in before Harry accuses us of being slackers."
"Which we totally are." Dougie smiles.
When we get back in, The other three are back in the living room, and Harry does accuse us of being slackers. I don't say anything about Lara. Dougie will tell them when he's ready.
"So." Danny says, standing up from his spot on the couch. I didn't actually invite Harry and Dougie here to see your hair."
"Which you butchered." I add.
"Yeah." Danny laughs. "We did...but I invited them because I have news."
"News?" Tom asks. "Like, in the paper? Or an online article? Or like something in your life?"
"What kind of a question is that?" Danny asks. "Something in my life, obviously."
"Hey, the world doesn't revolve around Danny Jones." Tom defends.
"What a world that would be." Harry says, shaking his head.
"Go on Danny, what is it?" I ask. His smile grows.
"Georgia and I are engaged." He smiles.
"Danny! That's awesome!" Tom says, and we all hug him. I feel a surge of happiness as we quickly discuss wedding details, but then look over at Dougie, worried. He would now be the last one in the band to get married, and he was newly single.
But Dougie was smiling, just the same as all of us.
"I'm so happy for you Danny." He says, genuinely.
