"Is this fate?
Our encounter,
do you think we were suppose to meet?
Do you think being friends
in the only thing for us?"
Tae reply's these words.
"Are you asking me if we were destined to meet?"
Tae emphasizes on the word destined.
He opened his hands as if he was throwing confetti.
"Yes. That's exactly what I'm asking."
Jimin looked straight into his eyes. He was dead serious about this. Tae gulped a bit, unsure on how to answer.
"Well. I think god put people into your life for a reason. So I guess there's a reason why we met. But I don't know for sure. But, do you think there's a reason why we met?"
Tae leans in and looks at Jimin with the same look Jimin was giving him. Jimin sat up straight.
"I think we were all meant to meet someone. For better or for worse, you are going to impact my life. And I want to hope it's for better, but who really knows."
Tae nods and looks away. He then realizes something and looks at Jimin with the widest eyes.
"I could tell you who you're meant to be with!" Tae quickly sat down on the rug right I front of Jimin, criss crossed. Jimin sort of jolted back, unsure what Tae was about to do.
"Can I see your hand?"
Tae put out his, in hopes of Jimin giving his.
"I mean I don't think that's-."
There was a pause.
Jimin placed his hand on to Tae's. Tae was able to light over it, but the dates were goofy, they didn't look right. Jimin on the other hand, saw 'Tae' appear for a split second, before it went away completely.
"I'm sorry, I can't seem to read it, maybe your partner took off their ring."
Tae said with a pout.
"It's fine." Jimin said as he looked at his hand. He looked down at it and grabbed his hand, rubbing this ring finger it softly.
"Don't sweat it."
After, Jimin and Tae went back to reading and they shared their ideas on the books. They also grabbed a bite from the cafeteria and then came back up. They talked for a while. By then it was 7:00.
"I think it's time I go home."
Jimin said as he got up.
"Yea."
Tae said as he got up, slowly, dreading leaving Jimin.
"I had fun today."
Jimin said with a wide smile as he collected his things.
"Me too."
They walked out of the room, and passed Sarah, they said their goodbyes and walked towards the stairs.
"Oh wait, I forgot my phone."
Jimin came to a holt.
"Do you want me to wait?"
"No it's fine you go on ahead I'll join you in a minute."
"Ok." Tae turned and walked down the stairs.
Jimin returned to the room. He grabbed his phone. He saw a piece of paper on the desk. He grabbed a pen, wrote something, and walked out.
"Jimin." Said Sarah.
Jimin looked over at Sarah, who was motioning him to come over.
"Yes?" Jimin said as he approached the desk. "You are a lucky one."
Sarah said softly.
"What do you mean?"
"Tae brings a bunch of girls here, to the library. Most of his dates were here. But you're the first person he ever took into the room. He really treasures the room. So the fact that he let you see it, makes you a lucky one."
Sarah winks.
The things that Sarah says warms up Jimins heart. It's nice to know that Tae was comfortable enough to share such a meaningful place to him.
"I guess I am." Jimin said as he softly smiled. "Take care Sarah."
"Will do Jimin."
Jimin then walked down stairs and said goodbye to the other librarians and walked out. Outside, was Tae waiting, leaning against the car. Jimin walks over. Tae opens the car door and Jimin gets in. Once Tae got in they both buckle their seat belts.
"I'm glad you had fun."
Tae said moving his hair out of his face.
"So how many other dates have you had here?" Jimin said nonchalantly while avoiding eye contact with Tae.
Tae was caught of guard with the question. "What?"
Tae said with furrowed eyebrows.
"How many girls have you brought here?" Jimin said as he looked at Tae with a arched eyebrow and a smile. Tae blushes immediately. "I- well- I swear I didn't try and make this a one night stand sort of thing. I genuinely enjoyed your presents. Im sorry if it made you feel weird I did-."
Jimin was chucking a bit to hard and Tae stopped talking.
"Tae it's ok. I don't care who've you dated before. It doesn't matter. We're friends now. You don't have to constantly apologize about everything you've done."
Jimin giggles slightly.
"It's just, I want you to like me. Because you're such a fun person and someone I can connect too. I like you."
It's now Jimin's turn to blush.
"Oh- I." Tae noticed how pink Jimin got and he smiled.
'Gosh I just wanna pinch his cheeks.'
"Its fine Tae, Sarah told me all about it anyways."
Jimin said with a confident smile.
"Well, Sarah always has her ways huh."
Tae pulls out of the parking lot and they're on their way home.
